The Transamerica Story

What is now Transamerica began in 1904 as the vision of a young entrepreneur, A.P. Giannini, with the establishment of a small business known as the Bank of Italy. Giannini started the bank to serve small businesses and farmers in the community. Two years later, the 1906 San Francisco earthquake threatened Giannini's business, as well as the city's future. Giannini was resolute.
