the difference is clear where you see messi olaymkaing in small space trying to figure out goe to break defence and still scoring 2 goals one masterpiece free kick while ronaldo and madrid basicslly getting their chance on counterattacks and running into empty space becsuse there is no defence ready at barcelona.. also going against montoya on counters while messi going against double and triple defenedrs locking him…imagine messi going one on one against montoya hahah… that is why messi is much better footbal player having to deal with these ( mourinho especially) defensive twctical set ups of madrid and in that era also very dirty defending and physical plays yet they still dominated them.. you would imagine if the second best team in the world( which is what real were all those years) plays such defense tactict and parking the bus playing on counters that they would usually come on top but they didnt.. now when they didnt play defensive and open we all know what happened … five fingers in the air..
