I connot do this with my left hand. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but it won't happen. I shall'nt give up.
Ответитьbeginners, LEARN THE PROPER TECHNIQUE, no matter what your band teacher tells you, pressing the stick down and hoping for 2 bounces is not the right way, the motion should be controlled and even. (i made this mistake for years lol)
ОтветитьPlease someone help - at what pace is the metronome?
Thanks for the biginner video!
Damn those calves have hit a lot of boot 😮😮😮
ОтветитьTighten those OPGS!
Ответитьno yappin just tappin..what's not to love? nice job
ОтветитьWhat's the bpm? Trying to se my metronome
ОтветитьWhy is this so satisfying 😜
ОтветитьBpm?
Ответитьi practicing After midnight blink and i double stroke hi hat by using rebounce of my sticks am i cheating?
ОтветитьWhat are 3 recomended Bpms to improve speed and control as you progress, example ( 80, 100 and 120)
ОтветитьWhat bpm are you on so I could practice along?
ОтветитьYour left is doing it differently.
ОтветитьDamn that’s actually a really good exercise. I’m glad you taught that so well. Can’t wait to try that one.
ОтветитьSomething that helped me a lot was finally realizing there is a difference between a double and two singles. They aren't the same thing, it sounds obvious but to a beginner its not. And more specifically i mean, if you are playing two quickly grouped singles its really not a double stroke. To be a double you need to be getting two even or inverted strokes out of a single movement cycle. So you can either use push/pull for faster doubles or a Moeller stroke double for more power. But if you are just cramming two singles together they are still technically singles. To get a really good double stroke roll and to be able to really implement doubles well you need to be playing actual doubles with as much fluidity as your singles. Its just like with your feet, you can either use slide or heel toe (or ideally i always say its best to use both) but if you are just powering out two singles they are still singles and very inefficient compared to using a proper double technique like heel toe or slide. Anyways like I said it seems obvious but even once i was able to play push pull and Moeller fairly well I still hadnt realized that they arent doubles unless your using a double stroke technique to get to strokes out of one movement. I was still practicing my doubles with the occasional single stroke "fake" double lol. But to be clear there isnt anything wrong with playing two singles but if you want a really good double you have to practice actual doubles.
ОтветитьThank you sm I never knew what’s single stroke rolll was 😂
ОтветитьThis is a really good exercise.I'm almost sweating.
Ответитьyour rhythm is not clean
Ответитьbro a year later and this still helped me so much with my double stroke roll when i do it along with you. thank you 🙏
ОтветитьOk
ОтветитьThank you for this!! Makes me excited to practice later 😄
Ответитьi'm left impaired :(
Ответитьi like to try turning my hands down a little bit, where my thumbs are facing sideways instead of towards the ceiling. i find it works better for stick physics lol but whatever’s more comfortable for you ofc
ОтветитьПри быстрых ударах, такое ощущение что видео просто замедлилось😅
ОтветитьI’m looking for two practice surfaces, one quiet and one normal. Would you recommend a pad or two?
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьWhat BPM is that
ОтветитьThat’s not how you play that note, nice for practice but will get points cut off on marching band grading .
ОтветитьI see that Uniqlo JJK shirt my brother 🔥
ОтветитьI don't no how to play the Gremms be cuz my Dems wuz how to play. Dreams
ОтветитьBORING, THERE'S MORE TO DRUMMING DON'T FOLLOW HIM.,
ОтветитьNice brother 🎉
Ответитьmy left hand is so weak
ОтветитьВсё ещё не просто попадать в метроном) Впереди ещё много работы.
ОтветитьQue programa você usa?
ОтветитьFinally found this video
ОтветитьHow do you notice left and right
ОтветитьJust started and this will probably help alot. Thanks!
ОтветитьThanks you 🙏
ОтветитьWould you suggest 5B sticks for beginners to practice? I recently bought a practice pad with stand and sticks from amazon, sticks are 5A but I find them too light, hard to bounce.
ОтветитьYour sticks don’t match in sound… so annoying
Ответитьhonestly thanks i’ve done it a week only for like about 5 or 10 mins a day and damn i see improvement. going for more till i get to Gar Samuelson level
ОтветитьGreat stuff. Relaly good.
ОтветитьReminds me a Kerala festival, Onam.
ОтветитьWhat BPM do you have metronome on?
Thx-very helpful
is it normal to struggle with just this? my coordination on my left hand is dogshit
ОтветитьMy brain hates my left arm
ОтветитьCool beans 🫘
ОтветитьI'm a beginner and I haven't come close to this
ОтветитьMaybe it’s the metronome settings but I can’t seem to pinpoint the speed you’re doing this at to get a baseline or what to work up to. I keep coming back to this to play along and the tempo or the sound on my end I can’t duplicate and it throws me off. What BPM are you doing these at? I’m starting at about half this I know that much but just curious
