So enjoy all these actors, especially all the different characters they play.

I've watched this series several times and love how the company of players show their wonderful talents as they take on each new role. Much like summer stock or little theater of years gone by. Nice too when I see them in later roles and recognize them. Love the final scene here, no one swaggers quite like archie.😊

why is the sound missing in places?

I love this series. I’m sad there was only 1 season. I’m also happy that at least this production team read the books. It’s been pretty true to Rex Stouts books. Tim Hutton as Archie Goodwin is perfect. But then his dad was Jim Hutton who played Ellery Queen. Avoid completely the TV series with Lee Horseley. No one bothered to read the books. Wm Conrad as Wolfe was deplorable. Now, I have just this production to keep me happy.

This time in this version the audio kept skipping. I've seen the Usse Harr version before without the skips.

When the character says he went to Canada in 1956, but the series is portrayed in the late 1930s or early 1940s during WW2 as is shown with the vehicles and mode of dress.

I love how Nero immediately considers that he needs to feed every one! And fritz is losing his religion because he doesnt have enough birds!

This is a series I've watched many times and always enjoy

I’ve always been frustrated with the sporadic POOR QUALITY AUDIO.

Maybe that’s why only 34.8 K subscribers?

It’s EASY & FREE to subscribe. This is my 4th run thru the series. It’s the only place I’ve been able to find access to it; I subscribed immediately. 😃😃😃

Unnecessary sound ducking is distracting, but the show is good,
as always.

The rather brief cessation of sound bites is quite disconcerting.

Milk: how disgusting! I never realized as a child that milk causes me such physical discomfort. Now as an adult I can’t imagine drinking it.

What's up with the audio part of this episode?

Money don't buy class.

This has TERRIBLE audio. Constantly goes in and out, loud then soft, then completely gone. It's awful.

Inspector Cramer had his nerve-barging into the plant room-interrupting Mr. Wolfe’s time with his beloved orchids.

Loved reading the comments of others, i am so sorry there are so few of these. We could use 50 more, 100, 500. But the series surprises me when i see a new one. Some i seen three times, some only once, most twice. Paladin is as close as it gets. Yancy Derringer was ruined for when i found out how terrible of a man he was.
Not uncommon, we all Need Jesus Christ in our lives.

Anybody know why there are so many times audio fades out to zero in these Nero Wolfe videos? Very annoying. I keep thinking I should show how buttons and knobs work.

I love this series, it one of the best I have ever watched. My problem is, with Usse Harr. Whoever this bum is has muted music, dialog for some reason. If it is for copywrite reasons I can understand that; but think most of it just to yank everyone's chain.

Nero Wolfe: "I choose my words, Mr. Byne. I didn't say you told me that, but that something you said informed me..." What a piece of writing. Rex Stout was brilliant! In fact, the whole series, story, acting, production, sets, everything, is brilliant!

The scene where Purley correctly identifies the way the champagne glasses were carried is priceless!

This channel has inconsistent sound in these episodes, this particular one being among them. Fully unsatisfying.

It's so frustrating that absolutely nowhere can one find this series in an uninterrupted form. Either episodes are missing, or like this one, filled with edited-in silences and skips. One can't even purchase or rent episodes of the series.

What a world. Such a brilliant rendition must limp along, wounded and even suffer amputation in order to even be viewed. It's preposterous! Phooey!

I hate this BS where they have to silence the audio. Come on it public record
