Pope leo 13th

I've been to Mont St Michel 5 times, the first being in 1979. On my last visit in 2023 I found to my dismay that the church at the top of the rock is no longer used as a temple where Holy Mass is offered. Not speaking French I could not understand what the Abby and facilities are used for, except to accept tourists and pilgrims. If anyone can shed light on this it would be greatly appreciated.
