We arsenal fans should just yield to these comparisons...such only end up putting pressure on us for no reason...What we have always wanted since 2010 was some consistent perfomance at the top, being in a situation where we are among favorites to win the big trophies. and Arteta has been able to deliver that.....The two trophies that Ten Hag won for United did not do anything in helping them steer forward....look at them now, next season they will be out of the UCL trying to get back to top 10...look at Chelsea, won a UCL in 2021 but they cannot perform consistently for 5 game weeks they are not even sure if they'll pay in the UCL, Europa or Conference league and we are in Matchweek 37....this season has been our lowest and yet we still are comfortably in 2nd and got to 2 semis...understand that we should aim to maintain this consitent perfomance at the top instead of desiring lucky trophies...think of Bayern, or Real Madrid...teams that have maintained that consistency are always destined to win something...Arsenal hasb't been such a team for so long and we all knew the way back to the top was going to be long so we shouldn't be complaining much..Think about it, before Arteta we weren't even sure we'd qualify for Europa now moving into next season, anything below 2nd place and UCL semis will be considered a failed season..that is the new us and we haven't been like that 15 years before Arteta came in

I’d say it’s been a better ending to the season for us. The majority of the season has been a disaster, mainly the league. But yeah, Robbie’s right, the EL win saved our season. If we hadn’t won last night, it would have been the worst season since relegation in 1977.

They are 17th there’s no way you can say that’s a good season. We won the FA Cup in 2020 and finished 8th, if we went around saying how good a season we had we’d be called delusional

The issue is the end game for Arsenal fans. Both them and Spurs have got the minimum of CL football next season but one has a trophy. However you spin it Spurs now look like they had better season. Its a false narrative in my opinion but thats what it looks like. Arsenal are by far the better team and have by far the better players but as of now it looks like Spurs had the better season.

Trophies only became relevant a couple years ago, since 2023. In 2020 when we were winning cups and finishing mid table it was all about the league position. You weren’t allowed to celebrate trophies if you had performed poorly in the league. Obviously they had to move the goalposts since Arsenal became competitive again. But you watch when we win our next trophy these same fans will be saying league is more important again you can never win with these lot

Honestly, a good or bad season is often decided in May. No matter how well or poorly you performed all year, stumbling right before the finish line can ruin your entire season.

So, if Chelsea get top 4, win the conference league, they have had a better season due to winning a trophy? where do you draw the line because teams who win these things shouldn't be in them, as it is a basis for a poor season last year. Thus, whenever I think of 'supposed' big tams winning EL or conference league, I think they must have been bad the year before to be in this comp.
