What makes British food bad? Whelks and pickled beetroot! OMG.
ОтветитьThe least British people I would like to know. Honestly embarrassing of our culture.
ОтветитьI'll get or I'll take a coffee ...99% of the time is prefaced by hey! What can I get ya! That is the response to that greeting alone. If you.hear ...how.can I help you? Hi may I have a coffee and a buttered roll please, extra sugar with half & half. (Half heavy cream/half regular milk,.sold under the same name)
ОтветитьWhy would you sit at a.dirty table? I'd be damned if I had to hunt down a server. I would.have left.
ОтветитьWe are.not getting waited on hand and foot. We are.getting waited on. Getting seated.at.a dirty table is rude and means they don't want your business.

ОтветитьIf you are with people who snap their fingers at staff, anywhere, you shouldn't tolerate it, because the staff surely won't
ОтветитьBreakfast potatoes at a franchise restaurant are known to be greasy, which is why we opt for diners. Besides IHOP...international house of pancakes is what we go there for.
ОтветитьAmerican have gravy...we make our gravy it's not from a jar or a can. Bland and lack of choice. If it's good you don't mind the cost.
ОтветитьSausage gravy on biscuits isn't gravy, it's bechamel sauce. We have so many versions of gravy other than just brown. Brown gravy is more than just beef flavored, it depends on what you've made.
ОтветитьWhen a certain orange person was living in the white house there were a great many requests to the now dearly departed Queen to please take us back.
ОтветитьFree healthcare...send us some. I don't know who hates it, probably snobs
ОтветитьWait! 4 years for a hearing aid. You can get one here in a week or two. That's obscene! There is no care in your Healthcare. Nevermind, I'll keep mine
ОтветитьWe have brown gravy.
ОтветитьYou need to rename this video, 'Our Excuses for our posh behavior'. I've watched other British vloggers and they're genuine, forthright and honest. Don't get me wrong... we do have people here in the US who are stuck up and snobbish, but you guys call yourselves posh which is the same difference. Even as you enjoy the US's culture, food, cities, etc... you always seemed to somehow look down on it all.
I've watched a few of your videos but got to the point where I couldn't stand them anymore and haven't watched any for over a year, but when I saw your title to this video, I thought... MAYBE they've changed, but no... not even a smidgen... you're just as posh as ever.
These people kinda just suck
ОтветитьYou really have no idea that you both just emote the most condescending vibe before you even open your mouth , and when you do you instantly confirm it?
ОтветитьSnapping fingers at waitstaff doesn't happen. Blatant lie!
As for British tv, no one I know ever talks and it except the occasional science nerds who watch ed Dr. Who ten years ago or something.
Very few people care about the royals. The only ones who do are usually women who live out some fantasy in their minds from watching too many Disney shows as a kid.
ОтветитьYour friend is just not a nice person. In America we love good service. But we cannot stand bullies. When we're in a restaurant and we see someone bullying a service person, someone else in the restaurant us up and says yo check yourself. We will check people in real time when they're belittling hard workers. At the same time, if you are a service person and you're giving poor service, It will be reflected in your tip. But if you accidentally spill something we know it's an accident. No one goes crazy. Just bring us another drink. We're good. Again your friend, not representative. I certainly would go to dinner with that dude.
ОтветитьI just saw Trump still talking about the Queen. She was amazing. She loved me lol
ОтветитьIrritating Americans. 2
ОтветитьYou get good service in the US because they're hankering after a tip.😊
ОтветитьHate British TV??? When I was getting to know my wife 30 years ago, she always complained about how bad U.S. TV was compared to British TV. So, when I went to the U.K. for the first time, I flipped on the "Telly" and the show that was on was...Gilligan's Island. She told me to flip the channel because something more sophisticated would be on. So, I turned the channel to Benny Hill. I don't know the point to this story, but there you go.
ОтветитьI appreciate your ability to be self reflective. I understand that all cultures are different and i dont judge British people for having different habits. What i do judge some British people for is being overly judgemental of Americans because it's incredibly insensitive to the history between our countries. The founding fathers were from England. They came and colonized this land, owned slaves and effectively erased the culture of the Native Americans to whom the land truly belongs. Many of the Americans that Brits judge are the descendants of your own people so it seems hypocritical. There is a lot to criticize about America. We have a very dark past and the war and hatred that this country was built on continues to cast a dark shadow on the culture to this day. I'm certainly not proud to be an American. However, I think that it will never be appropriate for the English to cast the first stone. That is my opinion.
Ответитьshoutout 1776
ОтветитьI'm an American and I watch Emmerdale, EastEnders and Hollyoaks. British soaps are much better than American Soaps. Acting is way better too.
ОтветитьTbh, with the service thing, as an American I find waiters here somewhat annoying. Yeah, I get it, you want a tip, you'll get one, just leave me be and let me eat my f*ckin food.
ОтветитьThe Americans are not being rude, their culture is just more direct. Thing is, being a Brit living in the USA, I am always fine being "UK polite", but my American girlfriend being "USA polite" isn't good in the UK. She has to be "UK polite" because she can come off rude a lot, but I know she's not rude, just American. (The American click I have never seen or heard).
The food one is weird, UK food isn't the best, and the USA food is the same. The good thing about the US is they have MORE food for choice, but most of it isn't American, it's foreign food in the USA.
The NHS vs private stuff.... the NHS wins 99% of the time. You don't realise how good the NHS is until you don't have it anymore.
As a Brit who has spent a lot of time in America this video is all kinds of wrong! It is way too much of a generalisation. I can’t even go into it we’d be here for weeks.
ОтветитьRe: “I’ll get/have a coffee” comment. You’re walking into a cafe that SELLS coffee. They are in the business to SELL coffee and MAKE MONEY. It’s understood that you’re going to buy something and what you buy is your decision, so it isn’t necessary to say “PLEASE May I have…”. On the other hand, it doesn’t hurt to say thank you when you get it and I always make it a point to say thanks.
ОтветитьAmericans do not hate anything about the British.
ОтветитьThere’s many reasons the Americans had to kick that ass back to tiny little England. To rule you must be stronger than those whom you rule.
ОтветитьWe do not worship British TV😂
ОтветитьIt's because the us expects thier service industry to act like the old British maid service.
ОтветитьI have lived in USA for many years and the Brits our misserable
ОтветитьI LOVE all British mysteries. Yours are the best!
ОтветитьI really like British food. It's hearty and simple.
ОтветитьI was in London in March 2000 and it was in the mid-80s the whole 6 days I was there. I got sunburn on the top of a double decker bus. It started raining when we left for the airport.
ОтветитьThe royals are a living library of your history. Their genes, families passing through generations of history and culture, a living library. I think they remind you guys, and politicians, of the moral center of the British people. Magical!
ОтветитьFor Americans, understanding, the differences between Britain, England, the British Isles & Great Britain is totally confusing. I think most of us understand there’s a separation with Scotland and Wales. Then there’s the U.K. which includes a small chunk of Ireland I guess. Was the U.K even a thing during.Ww2.? I don’t know. No American does. But if you get any of this wrong, expect to be scolded. As with everything, online people are the worst.
ОтветитьI haven't had British food, but I hate your words for food, even though you probably have the originial, correct word. But the 'cookie' definition just sounds wrong.
ОтветитьOver-the-top service in the UK is seen as obsequious. The same thing in the USA and you just know they’re expecting a massive tip to supplement their appalling basic wage, so it is false.
ОтветитьOur sarcasm, they can't figure it out, and they hate what they don't understand
Ответить
