Washington and Lee U Tour - Lexington, Virginia

What a magical place ! My son and I toured several prospective colleges and the minute we steeped on campus we were spellbound ! The other universities were special in their own way, but W and L stands alone.. a treasure. So hopeful this venerable institution will be part of his life in 2020.

There are no campus buildings that date from the mid-1700s. Washington Hall dates from c1820.
The Confederate flags which once surrounded the recumbent statue of Lee were not original to the placement, but were added later at the behest of the CDC—their removal is OK with me.

Due to the apparent foundation of this college, I would never let my child attend! Way too liberal!

I visited the University 2 years ago while on vacation I just love the structure of those buildings its so creative .

This place makes Hampden-Sydney look like a community college.

How beautiful! Definitely one of the schools I'm going to apply to as a transfer student!
