Hello! I would like to thank you for this useful tutorial, and would also like to compliment your suit this video. The unique mix of color and patterns really make me appreciate your knowledge on this subject.

At 70 I find I have different options then a younger man. A younger man is in the business world and must dress with that in mind. He has to spend more money to have clothes for work and then clothes for evening ware more suitable that express his individuality and taste. I am no longer part of the business world being retired. Business clothing is not necessary any longer. So I can dress gentlemanly, but not so much formally. I still enjoy Tweed jackets, Corduroy, Lien, with Fedoras, Trilby's Flat caps, or Pork Pies. Also wonderful well built classic shoes I mostly get second hand at thrift stores for less then fifteen dollars a pair. Being on a fixed income hasn't meant not looking my best if I use tips like ones Gentleman's Gazette offers. I have young women approach me in public often times to tell me they adore my dress. Stating they wished younger men would follow my lead.

Funny thing is when women make beauty videos, cost is not even a topic. When men make videos about dressing nice, they count cost per wear😂😂😂.

You right salesman that's not care if fit to you. Another point is people no appreciate tailor's work especially alterations a few customer know to dress appreciate it. This one of the reasons no more tailor new generations. 100 dollars or 1000 dollars suit is the same alterations work, custom suit same difference is fabric.

Most of my trousers are only 1.5$ from a thrift store, shoes are always new but are cheap, I don't wear jackets, and dress shirts are new (55$ each)

I think its unfair to say ANYBODY can do this cause you can really only pull this off if you're a conventional size. Those who are shorter than average (>5'6) or smaller than average feet always have to go custom and pay more no matter what.

There's a recycling center close to me, they have racks full of all kinds of clothes for the equivalent of like 1,50 to 3,00 dollars per piece (including sports jackets and even suits among other things). I lost a ton of weight and built a pretty good wardrobe on a very tight budget, of course there's a lot of very outdated stuff but with patience you find a lot, might not apply to other parts of the worlds but I'm in the EU myself. Clothing stores also have pretty decent clearance racks and I've picked a lot of those up as well, they're often the weirder sizes and/or colors but again, with patience I often find something I need

There are definitely exceptions to the impulse buying discount clothes. I snagged a Michael Kors button down at 75% off and it’s my favorite shirt.

My tip without watching the video is thrift stores. I'm a retired disabled Vet and I have found high end items at them. Some examples are a Burberry coat for 10$ that goes for 2000$ and Ferragamo shoes for 20$ that go for 600$ and the shoes might have been worn once.

It's a shame that GQ has changed, and not for the best. You guys and your channel are great.
