The armies of Anga, Vanga and Pragjyotisha fighting for Kauravas means the mercenaries of those areas. The crown prince of Vanga naned Samudrasena actually fought on the side of Pandavas while his father faught on the opposite side.

Kakha- in Tamil refers to crows. There are literary evidence of taming them during Chozha time period.

Catamaran- comes from the Tamil word “ Kattu Maram” Kattu means to tie together & Maram means logs of wood.

The word "catamaran" is derived from the Tamil word, kattumaram (கட்டுமரம்), which means "logs bound together" and is a type of single-hulled raft made of three to seven tree trunks lashed together.

Indian HINDU culture is secular for thousands of years. This is a Hindu rashtra which withstood the foreign Muslim and British and Europe invaders. It should regain its previous glories. Laws of the land should apply to all religions including Islam.

I think that the speaker should not conjecture on things simply because he thinks they are not verifiable. Maharana Pratap maynot have been 6.5 feet exactly but was probably well over 6 feet. The 19th century caste census (with heights) done by the British shows rajputs as having an AVERAGE height of 6 feet. Until after independence the basic requirement for recruitment in Rajputana Rifles was 6 feet as also the sikh regiment. British officers in 19th century in their diaries referred to their sepoys as "gentle giants". That is why 1857 was a huge shock for them. Till then they had trusted their families-wives, children etc in the care of these gentle giants when travelling even in remote areas.
Today these rules are relaxed because people from different backgrounds are recrited and not just rajputs and also with changing war tactics physical requirements have also changed. We are a diverse country with diverse ethnicity and diverse physical attributes. Making random statements is not helpful.

Samba, the son of Lord Krishna and Devi Jambavati, was a handsome but arrogant man who used to take immense pride in his looks and beauty.

Once, Narada Muni visited Dwaraka and crossed paths with Samba while he was on his way to meet Lord Krishna. Samba jokingly mocked Naradji by teasing him about his pot-belly and crooked nose. Naradji wasn’t very happy with the treatment he had received and decided to teach him a good lesson. He quickly tricked Samba by putting forth the claim that Devi Sathyabhama was in trouble and was in need of urgent help. Concerned, Samba began rushing around the palace halls searching for Devi Sathyabhama as Naradji cleverly led him into the bathing place of the wives of Lord Krishna. The queens of Dwaraka gasped in shock upon seeing Samba walking into their bathing place as he looked around in confusion contemplating about what had occurred. Naradji then swiftly brought Lord Krishna to the site as He observed the situation. Angered by His son’s impropriety, the Lord cursed Samba with leprosy.

Realising his folly, Samba begged for forgiveness and explained to Sri Krishna that he had been tricked and had not intended to invade the privacy of his mothers. The all-merciful Janardana took pity on Samba and replied that He cannot withdraw His curse and instructed His son to perform severe penance in Mitravana (a place at the confluence of the Chandrabhaga river and the sea in Konark) to appease Lord Surya (the sun god) to heal himself from leprosy.

Through his writings, Adi Shankaracharya has tried to explain that all these forms are facets of the same divinity. As and when needs and situations arose the divinity expressed itself in the various forms we worship them as Krishna devi Shankara, etc. The Brahma-Samhita states that Visnu is like milk, whereas Siva is like yogurt.

Curd is not different from milk. Since milk is transformed into curd, in one sense curd is also milk. Similarly, Lord Śiva is in one sense the Supreme Personality of Godhead, but in another sense, he is not, just as curd is milk although we have to distinguish between the two. These descriptions are in the Vedic literature.

A Christian and I were two employees who didn’t join the group and my dear Sudanese friend was loudly telling the group that those who are seated and silent are American spices.
