If it was against the law they would have arrested you, not forced you to delete the supposed incriminating evidence, they don’t get to determine your punishment or waving of punishment on completion of forced compliance.

Where in that order does it say "members of the public/press are not allowed to film or take pictures"? It talks about "Body cameras" as worn by police or court officers. Did I miss something?

This might be a hot take, but I don’t think facial recognition is a violation of any rights, and it’s for the exact same reason that we can record from a public place. Our face is in public, we don’t have a right to privacy. I know your lawsuit and main issue isn’t about that, but I’m seeing comments saying that it’s unconstitutional. I just think that if we go that route, then we’re opening up a door into a world where “facial recognition software isn’t any different from a person who knows you recognizing you in public.” And then we’re discussing the constitutionality of recording in public. Feels like a bad road to head down, and a bad hill to die on.

It might be interesting to foia the calls for service records for the day of this incident. They seem to be able to assign an unusual number of personell to a case involving a person using a camera in a public space, no allegations of theft, violence, stalking, so no criminal damage involved by the cameraman, yet they were able to coordinate multiple people to follow him and others to do internet research on him. All these people must normally be sitting around doing nothing normally. Yet with all these investigators they were not able to determine the total lack of criminal intent on the part of SPR. It makes one question the intellectual power of this police department and wonder if any re crimes get solved, and how many wrongful convictions this police agency has under its collective belts.

I'm not sure why you don't already know this but maybe have a backup device that they don't know about and they make little recorders the size of your thumb that you can hang on your necklace and record everything that is said. Why would you make excuses and not just make sure that when you go out everything is backed up and your phone automatically send the data to a cloud or a friend or somewhere that they cannot get to? Geez Louise it's almost 2026 and you haven't figured this out yet
