Sadly it was my first impression too, your art, although above average, are not that good compared to the other channels I'm watching. But guess what, I'm no longer watching them and here I am binge watching your old videos. It's not just about your art, the way you deliver it, your reviews, your opinion, I think they're great. And I'd choose your channel over them any day.

Also! I forgot to mention!!! You can get so many good courses that offer online correspondence with professors. During a sale you can buy a drawing course for around $20 for a short course. I think their biggest sales are during holidays such as easter, Christmas, etc. I bought 9 courses for $130 during the April Sale. And the courses are fantastic! You can save them and watch them as many times as you need to! Please please check this out. I am confident it will help you on your art journey

In all seriousness, I think your art is great. I'd totally hire you as an illustrator if I was in the business of hiring people to illustrate things.

I draw since i was a little kid and im still not knowing what to do. Im a house cleaner. That tells you i dont feel im that great about my art. I got overwhelmed with life for the past several years and im just destroying my physical body on a work i dont really have any passion for.

You'll never know just how you look through someone else's eyes.

I'd say you should go to something like Gumroad if you want to get super advance.
Anyway, I think your art is already awesome. You don't have to listen to those trolls.

What you learn at Uni is how to learn, I don't think the subject matters this carries over to any subject and sounds like you're already well on your way. I've spent my whole life learning and most of it was self taught and unstructured, that works if you have a passion but it's only a frame work to teach yourself not others. The next thing I plan on learning is art, I bought a HP envy it's ok but not as good as the intuous I've had in the cupboard for years. However something portable is what I needed, something I can easily pick up and go with. I'm keen to see what you're learning I might follow along too. There's plenty of information out there these days, is school really required once you know how to teach youself?

Brad I cannot express this enough you are so good at what you do. You have such an amazing and unique art style and your color selection and composition is so well done and your lining is so clean, so from one artist to another, your art is awesome!! And you're my number 1 go to guy for art products and reviews (and ive watched a lot...)

In my opinion, you are really good at art

I’m a Communication Design major but I do have to take drawing courses and am taking a painting class right now but I found the best upside to going to school is the critiques and also the feedback and knowledge you get from your instructor. There’s been times when I’m doing something a certain way and the instructor comes and tells me ,”ok, how about try this instead” and it helps me out a ton.

So I found this video on my feed and I was wonder what kind of art are you creating and tbh... truly adore those cute little illustrations ;3; They're so goddamn in point xD There simply - that's true, but is this wrong? Brad, you asked "why are all these people who went to art school saying don't go to art school". I never went to an art school, but I did go to a University for a few years to study computers, and I have a pretty good guess as to why they're saying that.

For 10k a month coming out of my loans, I was handed books, shown slides and projects in class, watched videos, and took test.

I came out of that experience thinking, "I could have learned all of this stuff just by buying their book and reading it myself for almost nothing". That's why they're saying it, it's because they're not offering you anything you couldn't have found for much cheaper or even free, with a alittle motivation and some internet.

I dont think your art sucks, I think its pretty cool. Then again I have the same issue where I myself think my drawings suck and people around me do say its good, wierd :D Nice video even though i'm years to late :P

You are an amazing artist, we all have our insecurities ,we all have our weaknesses, we all at some point think we suck, but you are a very accomplished artist. end

Here's the thing, NO artist truly likes what they draw as the biggest challenge as an artist is to keep on drawing in spite of that fact, as artists are the biggest critics of their own work, and if you're not, you don't grow as an artist!

The only art school I’d highly recommend is the ateliers that have proliferated in recent years.

You do know what you are doing. I don't when I'm drawing. And you don't look terrible, you look nice.

In all due respect...just One piece of advice, learn how to draw....please! On the onset you clearly said that you weren't asking for pity nor phishing for compliments...I mean, by even making this video, I'm pretty sure you are. To be honest... I am kinda agreeing to the person who said "why should we trust your opinion when your art is not that good". I've seen most of your videos and I must say...I kinda believe he is right. Why don't you just learn how to improve your art without even making this video for the whole world to see...that you're bad at art? It sends a clear message that you want people to pity you.

this is exactly how I feel but if you want my honest opinion your is first your a great artist I learn a lot from watching your videos second those people who insulted you are either arrogant losers who probably never grab a pencil before in their lives so they see others who are above them and just want to make them feel bad so they could feel good about their pathetic selves third and most importantly no your not an ugly person they only say that to make you feel bad about yourself that is exactly what they want you to think the guy who wrote that is probably so ugly that even hell itself would denied his entrances because of his hideous face so don't let anyone bring you down that my advices for dealing with mean people if you the minute you agree with what they saying is truth then it will automactlly becomes real
