When I was growing up we did not have running water my mom built a shower enclosure similar to yours and she mounted two 55 gallon drums ,painted Black , on the top and during the day the sun would heat up the water and when my dad got home from work he could take a shower. My mom was very handy.

Thanks for sharing. Did you run into any tree roots? I don't know much about catalpa tree; some trees have surfaced feeder roots. How hot are summers in the part of Canada?

Simple and effective project. Would like to see the completed project in another episode. Perhaps the towel hooks should have gone on outside wall.

Looks really good I did mine some way similar and I did the solar lighted caps on the post so they light up at night the straight so does yours

So after a year, how has it been? My only concern, as someone who maintains outdoor structures, that two inch gap leaves a lot of room for spiders and other insects to build nests. The shower turned out very nice

Did you not concrete or screw the footing blocks in ? Is this not needed? How do they hold fast?

Am about to embark on this project...wondering if you had shifting of the concrete blocks as frost comes out of ground post winter. We are dealing with PEi read mus as ground.

Maybe dig a 3’ hole in he middle of that and fill with 3/4” gravel for drainage
