I respect Nergal a lot, so it's okay we disagree on veiw points 😅 I'd still start a band one day. Not to be successful though. Just to really enjoy the art and spirit of music. Im getting older and im sick, im not guaranteed making it to 50. I live to have fun and have fun with others who just want to have a good time and feel a little less lonely and sad 🤷

"Don't start yet another band," I somewhat agree with his point of view but you can still pursue a music career as a session vocalist / musician if you like to perform and of course you can always learn in order to teach the next generation. That counts as a "proper job" 😝 If you're pro, you can start bands and projects whenever you like, in whatever style you like.

The last comment seems to be tongue in cheek and I felt the answer could be different depending on the day. Besides, if that comment discouraged you, you didn't want it enough to begin with.

When I first heard metal I thought it was a terrible noise like nails drawn across a blackboard, irritating kurwa!

Well I guess he’s right, IF your only goal is to make money. If you feel the urge to express yourself through music, if music is your life. If you can’t conceive your life without rock, if you live, dream and breathe rock and roll and it runs through your veins, start your band.

Noticing a lot of people upset about the last comment. I may be wrong but I took it as sarcasm. He laughed after saying it, perhaps - as always - simply playing devil's advocate.

Thanks for the advice brother, but I do have one of my own : Don't waste your money on Behemoth products anymore, keep it to yourself, it might be helpful in the future.

I would suggest the older bands to retire and made some space to younger bands. I don't want to see grey hair rockmen pretending to be angry rebels. Not very credible

Came here to down vote the interview and express my newly elevated disdain for Nergal. What kind of piece of shit discourages somebody from following their dream? Will he take his own advice to “find a proper job and finish university?” No, he won’t. I’m assuming he has other skills that could easily qualify him for a “proper” job. But it’s blatantly hypocritical of him to dish out advice that I would be willing to bet he himself wouldn’t undertake. And if I’m wrong and behemoth has to call it quits, then good. Good riddance.

If he's such a liberal then why doesn't he give up his spot and let a new Band have a chance ? Selfish Bastard.

Well Ive been a fan of Nergal and `hemoth for a long time, but couldn`t disagree more on the last statement,if thats your passion start a band, who gives a fuck if its overcrowded if its good and honest it will find its way.What if someone told u that when u were young Nergal, im pretty sure you would tell them to fuck off.
