$3 an hour?! Wow. I smell cheap ass!! That's legit such disrespect to video editors.

I'm a video editor myself and I think what you shared in this vid was spot on! Making the instructions as clear as possible for the editor is super important 🙏 also, if you keep the same editor for a while then your videos will gain consistency in how they look and your editor will really get a feel for your personal style ☺ love it!

Man this will make me do more things because I have adobe premiere software if any editor I hire wants to use but I’m gonna start hiring editors because I barely have time to edit/making videos while I have million other things to do sadly and I’m pretty good editor myself I can teach any editors from my experience but this will save my plenty of time and the editor will have good experience:)

Ok so I made a few 3 and 5 minute videos here and there for my son's college graduation...I contacted a few people and they returned my email...one guy wants me to send him 50% down and my footage...I wanted to meet him in person and go through the videos together.. I don't want to hand over my footage as well..I want to use my own computer. Is $400 worth the job? It's late so I will email the others tomorrow. Thank you.

Is it a common practice to pay an editor per minute of raw footage sent? I would rather do that than pay per hour, or even per video.

I anticipate sending 20-25 minutes of raw footage for the production of a 15 minute finished video.
