I have been watching this show since the beginning and have enjoyed every season.
ОтветитьMyself as well I think I’ve got every magazine
ОтветитьCopper shower pan.. last one i did was about 1992. Very impressive shower.
ОтветитьIs the self sealing membrane vapor permeable?
Ответитьi love the idea of the rubber roof membrain, but if there is no noticible leak how would you know there is a problem?
ОтветитьMegan’s shoes are not OSHA compliant.
ОтветитьIf Kevin were to fall off that roof he would hit the ground before that line comes taught 😂
ОтветитьSeeing that beam get cut up was painful.
ОтветитьReally seemed like a shame to cut down that white oak beam.
ОтветитьLooking fantastic everyone
ОтветитьI love the copper pan.
ОтветитьFabulous as usual guys
ОтветитьWater in water out shower floor? For years know the rest of the building industry has been pitching the subfloor towards the drain prior to pan liner installation! Copper pans do not conform to a funnel like prepitch. Company and Portland cement do not well together. Copper pans are normally installed with a cast iron shower drain body. Plastic drain body assembly are not normal installed with a metal pan! The copper should be protected from the Portland cement by Appling a protective coating directly to the copper.
ОтветитьThis ole million dollar home.😅😅
ОтветитьWow, impressive. What is going to be the square footage when all done?
ОтветитьGood thing they had a helper do that brick work.
ОтветитьA word to the wise on the linear shower drain. We installed one similar (or maybe the exact same linear drain) as the one you showed. (1) linear shower drains are originally for large format tile. Because larger tile (say 12" x 24" or larger), can not "bend" to fit slopes to a small drain, the linear drain was created. If you have large format tile, make sure to use a linear drain, and size it to fit the width of the shower - your tile guy will get a much better job that way. (2) We chose a drain "grill" or "cover" with the linear bars like the drain you show. I thought the linear bars looked beautiful, and they are. But, those bars are a "magnet" for hair. We have to clean the linear drain out every 4 to 6 weeks of daily use. Easier to keep clean would be the drain cover made up of a single sheet of perforated stainless steel.
Ответить#1- I don't wear harnesses...#2- I have been using ice & water membranes for 30 years or more, this is a tight, tight system...most guys won't use them cuz they are lazy & cheap...#3- at 65 I still like to learn...I can always glean something from these guys. Before I get put in the ground, I'd love to work w them on a project...may be my one & only bucket list
ОтветитьIf you follow period correct moldings and mantels? Like with Brent Hull? Then the chunk of wood as a mantel is not period correct unless your recreating the 80’s and 90’s ?
Yes I am a finish carpenter and hv done them at customers request but this seems or was supposed to be more affluent designs in this house? I thought ?
Why isn’t proper slate tiles used on houses in America.
ОтветитьIt's like they sat down and thought "how can we make this project cost as much as possible?"
Ответитьcome on!!! silicone caulking sucks, gives up the ghost in 5 years
ОтветитьIn my business when an ex employee got their own thing going, we said that they graduated.
ОтветитьLove This Old House but so far this is one strange house design.
ОтветитьSo, did anyone miss that the floor guy didn't screw that drain into the sub-floor??? Someone messed up.
Ответитьwhy make such a complicated roof line? It makes getting solar panels impossible.
ОтветитьWhy a copper liner. Wouldn’t aluminum be better (cost & corrosion)?
ОтветитьThat boiler will be broken down in two years. The high efficiency boilers require 3x the maintenance as a standard boiler.
ОтветитьWho the heck lives in these places???
ОтветитьIn the last 6 months, Ive bid 4 linear drains and every single time, people have decided NOT to go with them after some thought.....expense and cleaning issues are common reasons. Midwestern sensibilities I guess. Been awhile since I've seen a copper pan
ОтветитьCharlie is a chip off the old block :)
ОтветитьThat relative of Tommy sounds just like him! Looks like Tommy with a black wig.
ОтветитьThe only original thing left in the house was the chimney, and they just had to wreck that, too. If they had replaced the brick with some new plastic "high efficency" eco-material that will fail in 3 years, it would've been perfect.
ОтветитьPretenous ❤ property pornography
ОтветитьWhy don't you ever give a breakdown of costs after each job?
ОтветитьThis Old House always does a lot of great projects! How about letting us know the final cost of all your work with the final episode?
ОтветитьWhat a ridiculous design with the angels for the roof.
