I feel bad for Jim. This is about 1994 and when Vince let him go, Lawler wasn't in the WWF. Jim was talking about him and Lawler "kicking ass" at the time of his dismissal in 1994.

What a great show. I love hearing from Jim about his WCW and early WWE shit. I didn't follow the dirt sheets or shoots back then so I didn't understand why Jim kept coming and going from his on air roll. I loved Jim's message at the end about always persevering with your life. I needed that. Thanks Jim.

At the time, if you were a young fan you didn't even notice that Jim was fired and rehired twice. It just seemed like Vince assumed PPV commentary for himself and that Jim was sent to Radio WWF or something. Knowing more details about what happened, the treatment Jim got was shocking. From his initial firing to Vince only bringing him back because he would stand trial and only giving him a 2-month contract.

And it's not like they had many options at the time. Poor Gorilla was getting older and he lost his son that summer.

Give it up already. The podcast was TERRIBLE. All JR does is mumbles and talks so slow and switches topics and smokes 🚬. I thought I had my speed on 0.5. 🤷‍♂️

Im sure Jim ross would been great to do commentary with Monsoon and Savage at the King of the Ring instead Art Donovan. Art pretty much didn't know anything about WWF and Monsoon was very annoyed of him im sure. But what surprised when they asked Art who he thinks would win the King of the Ring his response was Razor Ramon which he sounded like he the Knew the product.

I could not imaging him going back to WCW then. Only problem would be he doesn't get along Jesse Ventura but Ventura was eventually let go later that year when Hogan arrived according to Jesse.

JR: The best time are when Jerry and I talk at the table when no one is around. Someone should record those conversations.
