MARVEL CANCELLED MOVIES ANNOUNCEMENT

Marvel continues to disappoint me because they can’t get their act together. I just pray I will see an X-Men movie or Storm solo before I leave this world.

I knew something is wrong when they cast Mahershala Ali, the man is too old to carry a new franchise, and now he's 50. Might as well bring back Wesley Snipes if it's an older Blade. Just cast another actor with the age around 30 if they want to make a lot of Blade movies.

Saw this on twitch: Blade is basically John Wiick with vampires. What do they mean they couldn't figure it out?

@Charlie, they need to finish off Snipe's arc, then hand off to Ali...or work with Secret Wars to hand off to the new blade from Snipes

This comes as no surprise whatsoever. Especially after the success of Deadpool, Wolverine, and the reception that Wesley Snipes received as Blade.

Ok, it's kinda hard to guess at what is motivating Mahershala Ali regarding Blade, but the scripts he rejected were making other characters more central than Blade. I can 100% understand not wanting to be shunted to the margins after blowing his entire Oscars capital on this Blade movie and not being able to work for 5 years on anything other than this. If he had objections before that, I don't know, but this reasoning, if those scripts really were trying to do that (who knows, Marvel might've been trying to set up other characters to take over the franchise in the future due to actor age-outs or who knows) -- then his balking makes total sense to me. 🤷‍♀

The messed up blade? How?

Marvel's just been dropping the ball after Endgame. It doesn't seem like they've been trying and just got lucky with Deadpool (I mean, it is hard to mess up Deadpool).

I reckon if theyre going to push it back beyond the multiverse saga they should bin off Mahershala Ali and get Aaron Pierre in instead as Blade

Wtf marvel ? You have billions of dollars you just hit it out of the park with Deadpool versus Wolverine. How hard could it possibly be to make this movie? This is a money printing franchise if you can’t figure out who to direct or who to write why don’t you get the guy who did Godzilla year zero he made a banging movie with no moneyor maybe the guy in India who did RRR one of the best action films I’ve ever seen or the director of Deadpool versus Wolverine. I’m just at a loss. Hell I’ll write the script. It just isn’t this hard Marvel. It just isn’t.😢

The reason why they canceled it, is because they were going to take the main character and make him the side character... and when all the news about them doing that came out, it just became a shit show from there.

As a fan I waited for blade and black panther an you gave me movies like black widow and ant man 1/2

why not get Ryan Reynolds to direct it or co direct with Wesley Snipes.

I want new actors playing Blade and Wolverine. Not guys in their 50s and 60s.
If we get a Snipes Blade send off, it should be contained within it's own universe, not linking to MCU.
Bringing back Snipes, Jackman and Downey Jr are desperation plays like "hey everyone, you like this guy, right?!?". Nah bro. They need to make better movies and shows with new actors.
At this point it's just pathetic.

If they didn't cast the overpriced RDJ maybe they would have had enough to hire a few more writers to get the Blade script worked out...for me it was so lackluster to see him come back as Doom like...why?!? Passing on it, personally.

I was kinda excited for Ali as blade. Hopefully they still use him for midnight sons or something else

What’s sad is they can somehow come up with all the trash they’ve done so far but can’t do a vampire movie with a black male lead huh? But if it was a strong woman or LGBT character then we would have got it already.

I don't claim to be able to write anything at all but I also don't understand why professional writers can't pen a decent script, it makes not sense.

I would either have a Wesley Snipes new movie or introduce the character in Moon Knight season 2 in a couple episodes like how they added Iron Fist to a couple of episodes of Luke Cage

The MCU is oversaturated, they need to cancel about another half of dozen of announced films.

Blade was pretty much the only MCU movie I was really looking forward. I used to be a huge Marvel fan, but I have lost my faith to the MCU during the last few years. Well, I keep on reading comics and will watch the new Daredevil series, but I will leave the MCU to run back and forth in the mess that they have created.

Wesley Snipe's Logan like send off Blade movie and Mahershala Ali's new Blade movie should just be the same movie. Show us what actually happens during an incursion, by having their respective universes collide into one another. Marvel could even explain the lack of vampires in the main cinematic universe by stating all universes with vampires inevitably end via incursions to help prevent vampires from spreading throughout the entirety of the multiverse.

Translation: Blade is too masculine. We can't have that.

I am not even upset about blade

Marvel's big wigs constant rewrites and egos that makes them stray away from the source material for no reason will eventually be their undoing. All Gen Xers want is the comic material in live action. Millennials and Gen Z will watch based on childhood memories of seeing the earlier movies. It's not that hard. Kevin and Co are making it more difficult than needed. SMH

it has nothing to do with the actors its that they are loosing money with star wars and marvel dont act like you dont know that a lot more canceld movies will be told to us soon im sure

I am a long time fan of the blade movies so I am 100 percent gunning for snipes to return but i also see Ali killing it as the new blade and he would have done it good. Hope to see him take the mantle in the future.

This was foreshadowed in Deadpool & Wolverine when the original blade said “I’m the one and only blade” when they were attacking Casandra nova in the car rocket launcher scene

Sounds like Snipe’s claim in Deadpool Wolverine that he is the only Blade may be fact after all!

Honestly, they could bring Blade into the Midnight Sons movie with Mahershala Ali and build the Blade franchise from that.
