I got to meet your uncle. He was getting his hair cut at the salon. We started talking about old cars. Then diesel trucks. Then you. 👍🏼😂
ОтветитьMAN! Best sounding engine ever made. I had one in a 1968 KW conventional. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьAnother great video Wayne. I love your stuff. I haven't worked on one of those in MANY years. Great stuff
ОтветитьI know b4 i grab some double d,s I use a little rtv myself lol
ОтветитьNice work on the old Freightshaker... Yeah I would say he definitely lost the rear main seal LOL.
Not exactly the best trucks ever built, but I really like them from this era. Pre-74, back when they were
still called White Freightliners. This one looks really clean. The interior and dash looks extremely nice in
this one and that's rare. Is it original interior ? I still like seeing the old two piece chrome bumpers too.
My mom's cousin was originally credited by Kenworth for designing the bigger one piece chrome bumpers
that have been around now for years, back in the day. He had an amazing fleet of early long nosed KW 900's for years.
He had several V-12's, 3408's and 1693's that he ordered new and he had several that had 3406A and Cummins 400's.
that cold start at the end was friggin awsome, had a nice set of deep base headphone on, class
ОтветитьYour tool for filling the radiator is fantastic. But when putting small quantities into the radiator of those old freightliners and Kenworth, the best tool is an old airhorn. You flattene one side of the opening, so the antifreeze doesn’t run out on you and you pour it in. Watching you put the rods in from one rack to another makes me think of the time I had one runaway. You must be very careful of how you bend all your cotter pins over so they can’t hang up on anything. Don’t ask me how I know.

ОтветитьA dry DD from the outside? Why not? Just to shake things up. Make some people be awed at how clean this one stays.
ОтветитьGlad to see you are able to keep it going. What is the name or the paint color code/name of the shade of the Detroit Diesel green? Alpine green.??
ОтветитьIn one of your other videos you were getting a bunch of injectors freed up. You were using Free All penetrating spray, I’m a total convert. It works excellent! Thanks for the great tip!

ОтветитьThat is one sick shaker with the dual exhaust and dual air intakes. Sounds like heaven! What a beautiful machine
