If you want to make the s23 ultra's zoomed in photo and s24 ultra's zoomed in photo look the same(have the same color and not dull colors on s23 ultras zoom photos) just take your picture then go to gallery press edit then press the 2nd option on the bottom left(filter button) then press the 2nd option called auto . Done ,now all the zoom photos that look washed out on the s23 ultra look similar to that of the s24 ultra . Samsung could have added this color correction by default but of course why would they 😊.

Only the idiot Sheeple update their phones and fall to the trap from time to time!

The logical take from this is that if you love and value zoom photography, neither of these can pass muster, so get the new Vivo, assuming it gets a global release next year.

Samsung and its photographic software are a mess; the latest S23U update proves this. The S24U still has many issues; I think Samsung needs to turn this around. Are they capable of doing so?

In my opinion they have worsened the camera of the s23 ultra. Before it did not take photos with this terrible quality. Disappointed with Samsung

a very focused comparison! I still have the S23 Ultra but my personal phone is the S24 Ultra, I have great doubts about the 10x, there are aspects , zones in the image in the 10x of the S24 that are better in the S23 but sometimes but sometimes something happens to the other way in the scenarios, I did quite a few tests day and night, at night the S23 with 10x loses, I think they have improved the processing with the latest updates in the S24 Ultra, but I do not know what to say, there are times that I like the 10x of the S24 Ultra. 23 Others of the S24., is confusing. 😂😂😂😂😂

So is it better for me to the stay on the August patch?

Try old s23 ultra firmware they had to degrade it so the trash s24 would look better what a scam

Great idea for comparison, but you should use real natural objects to compare instead of the drawings in the first half of the video. Then the objects are natural and more complex, then the optical zoom and S23U respectively would be better. Algorithms can't deal with complicated scenarios well, while they can do pretty well for simple ones and text.

It's really a shame what Samsung has done with the zoom in general, when they had the undisputed best zoom in the smartphone sector. Instead of improving the 10x optically with a new sensor and maybe giving the 3x a 50 mpx sensor for short distances. They haven't really done anything, neither really improved nor made it worse, and other manufacturers have now overtaken them. It's a real shame because that's not a technological advance. And from the looks of things, everything will stay the same with the S25, except that the ultra-wide sensor will probably be replaced with a new sensor. I'll stick with my 23ultra for another year.

One day users will have enough of these cheap "let's make X worse so that Y looks better" Samsungs tricks, switch to another brand (at this moment, you can't actually find camera that's worse then Samsungs) and never look back.

Such a shame Samsung! Both are terrible in compare to any Chinese flagship.

That's good, I have neither one nor the other but always have a critical mind when it comes to photos.
For me and viewed on 27'' 1440P. S24U wins x3 x5, for x10 I would tend to say S23U wins on the general aspect but with the double crop especially in the greenery behind turns the situation towards the S24U therefore equality. The S23U x15 is much too sharp... too bad because it could have won this round so S24U here. S23U x20 x30 and x100 wins on the general aspect but much too sensitive to micro movement if this is the case (chipset/sofware issue ?) compared to the S24U. Just my personal opinion. What do the fans think about ?

Try to use filter with warmer colors on s23 ultra and then compare colors!

It's been years im with Samsung.... i had S3,S5,S8,S20 plus and now S23 ultra... really im tired of this behaviour from Samsung.... im thinking to take the new Xiaomi 15 ultra next year... i think that it would be much better from S25 from samsung.... what's your thoughts??
