Hi, I’m from central NJ and I’m looking to move to DE. Do you know about any cool record stores in the lower part of the state?

Milton has five governors. Guess that rules out Milton. But they do have beer so that's a plus.

If you weren't born in Delaware and are useful they might tolerate you. Otherwise don't live there.

Interesting video about DE. I've lived in DE since 1980, Graduated from Cape Henlopen in '81, Angola-By-The-Bay, back from school I landed in NCC and have been in Bear since 1991. I kind of like where I am, everything is about 15-20 minutes away, whatever ya want in the immediate areas, plus all the major interconnections as well!

Very downstate-heavy list. There are plenty of places in New Castle County besides Wilmington that are great to live in as well.

Good sir, I'll have to toss out Newark as a great suggestion as well. Cooch's Bridge Battlefield, located near Old Baltimore Pike, is the only known battlefield in Delaware from the Revolutionary War. Also with White Clay Creek State Park, and various other parks located relatively close you have numerous walking trails & bike paths. Main Street also offers alot of various restaurants & business to check out. If you prefer it to be less crowded though, then I recommend a Summer time visit, when many of the University students are on break.

If you like ticks and mold you will love Sussex County. Also the regular sound of gunfire once you are in the unincorporated areas. And massive overdevelopment. Kiss those low taxes goodbye.

DOVER?????? I am a veteran as well, but I do not share your enthusiasm. I live there, but sadly it will never reach its potential as the city planners are CLUELESS!!! Downtown would be special, but never will, as long as they house and include the Homeless/Drug support resources there I live out in the county, not the city/town and enjoy what the rural part offers.

If I had all the money I needed, I’d move to North Wilmington. The people are amazing, the natural scenes are beautiful, the food and drinks in town are great. So many things to do. Easy access to I-95 north to go to Philly games and airport for trips, take south bound to go down state to visit the beautiful beaches and fun beach towns. The History here is rich and the historic parts are a must to visit! Never gets old for me. I’m 28, I was born here and will likely die here. I pray that my state always stays tax free and not overpriced so others can come and see how decent it is here.

If a person had no money limit, is looking for a smalll town (not that small) including beauty, walkabililty, and best downtown. Where are the top five places you would pick for them?
