very well made documentary !!! the question that rings out in my mind is that if verappan was a sandalwood 'smuggler', he was cutting down trees in the forest, ok, but who bought the sandal wood he cut??? why arent the authorities chasing the buyers of ivory tusks and sandalwood????

As a South Indian i can justify he was right

In the end of the series interviewer say, shooting everyone is not a brave act. Even with the gun and shooting skill, nobody can face these many police single handedly for more than 30 yrs. And living in the jungle is also not an easy job. He and his team had great shooting skill, protected forest from other poachers, instead of punishing him, the govt could have appointed them as forest officiers, they could have worked really well. In india, jobs are given onl on based on education vise. Some of these great skilled people were unemployed and involved in criminal activity and losing their lives.

This documentary covers only the 10%...

I don't know from when a man who has killed 1000 elephants and 100 innocent people is called a hero...Don't mislead..
No hate but this will make many youngsters to get inspired to commit crimes...
