Woah definitely wasn’t expecting to see someone from my childhood when I stumbled across this video. What a pleasant surprise to see the kind of person you’ve grown into. Times sure have changed. Best of luck with your business!

The fact that there is already an excessive amount of demand awaiting its absorption, despite how everyone is frightened and calling the crash, is another reason why it is less likely to occur that way. 2008 saw no one, at least not the broad public, making this forecast, as I'll explain below. The ownership rate was noted to have peaked in 2004 in the other comment. Having previously peaked in the second quarter of 2020, we are currently at the median level. Between 2008 and 2012, it dropped by 3%, and by the second quarter of 2020, it had dropped from 68 to 65.

We lived in Market Place North for 5 years prior to Covid. It was insane to live in PPM. Our favorite moments were waking up at the crack of dawn , getting a SB coffee, and taking our Golden Retrievers around the market while people were setting up. They were minor celebrities while we lived there. 😊
Also, entertaining as our townhome deck was right over the water. It was so beautiful. It was the best of times and ,also , the worst of times. You are also in the middle of so many scary things as we made friends with people that were in desperate need of help with drugs , alcohol, and mental illness. We could not turn a blind eye to it and supported many of the institutions that helped out. All cities have problems. Living in PPM was not easy if you care about people in need. This is our personal experience. Downtown Seattle is so unique and a treasure , but , the harsh reality is there too. 😢

You do not really live in Seattle. You have two houses in California. You make your money in Seattle . Your title should reflect that.

I totally got a few of those hair peices when I was 9. Right around the time I got those sand stuffed lizzards which you can still find there! Even though so much has changed with the new extension and overlook park, so much has stayed the same and I love that.

I live across the sound in kitsap county and haven’t been to downtown in years. Is it really dangerous in pike place or is safe enough to bring a kid? My daughter is 4 and i want her to experience the magic i felt as a kid with my mom, but don’t want to bring her if it’s not safe.

Hard to believe historic Pike Place Market was nearly demolished in 1971 because the city council and business leaders wanted to replace it with “luxury apartment towers and a high-rise hotel, upscale offices and a seven-story parking garage.” We’re lucky the people of Seattle voted to preserve it.

Le Panier is always my go-to for bread and shortbread cookies. Wonderful even though the original owner retired the recipes are the same. Etta's is a little pricey but consistently good. On Western the Spice shop is amazing & the Paris-Madrid Grocer is a sweet little hidden gem.
