I just bought a 2025 tenere 700, still relatively new to adv riding as I’ve always ridden dirtbikes but I can’t wait to go for some tours. Maybe down the road I can meet up with you and anyone else who’s there!
ОтветитьHearing your socal self pronounce norcal locations is hilarious.
ОтветитьWhy the heck would you take that little vstrom instead of the 1300 GS?
ОтветитьNext time leave the Dork at home!
ОтветитьIan thank you so much as always for the excellent content. I really loved this one. I had been waiting to watch it until the weather got to riding temps here in Utah and ready for another season. Your honest insights along the way are really fun to hear as we have all the those moments along the way. Challenges can abound and moments are less than fun at times. The summary of the big picture for gratitude toward the end was really cool. I look forward to this trip in the future and the highs and lows are great to know in advance. Your content is outstanding and you are great resource for so many of us. Thank you!
ОтветитьAZBDR seems better. no?
ОтветитьThanks guys! You overcame the setbacks.
ОтветитьAppreciate the ride/ sorry for the mechanical problems. Sucks, but you persevered. Good job.
ОтветитьEl gas no es en la izquierda? Como conducías si no le apretabas
Ответитьquit your whining.
ОтветитьI enjoy riding by myself as well and for the same reasons. Lots of cool country out here in northern Utah, eastern Idaho, and western Wyoming to explore yet.
ОтветитьFor a guy with an adventure bike channel (& it’s a good one) he complains a lot. Super negative. The off roading is what makes the BDRs what they are. Maybe try A Goldwing. I can see why he likes to ride alone. It would be interesting to hear the other guys true opinion of how this trip went with him. Haha
ОтветитьFor the android sleeping / disconnections, you need to set any app on your phone that communicates with the head unit to battery optimization off and allow background data. Sometimes there's a third one that's manufacturer specific to the phone. Essentially android is trying to save your battery as you haven't physically interacted with the phone in a while, the screen is off, and it thinks those things are not needed... Technically think of it like you're using your phone as a server for the head unit so you need to tell android that it's okay to let those things use battery and data even though the screen is off and you're not physically interacting with the phone. This can be applied to anything you want to run on your phone constantly without your interaction. Not sure if that's been answered but feel free to reach out if you need to find the exact settings.
ОтветитьAnnual fires are harmless because the overgrowth being burned is not enough to overwhelm the trees. However it is smoky and therefore stinky and enroaching housing communities use their influence to prevent these annual burns.
Thus the overgrowth accumulates in huge piles that once it eventually catches fire said fire is so huge it overwhelms the old growth trees.. (blame these residents)
Great content as always. Although, I could really feel how the rush to complete this route took away from the groups overall enjoyment of the trip. Sometime you need to take it in and not just check it off your list.
ОтветитьI live in Placerville, CA and enjoy riding in my “back yard” which was a lot of section 3 and 4 in this video. Thank you for your thoughts regarding fire! You are spot on with your assessments and commentary. Thank you for putting this video together, and for you content in general. You and Ben are as real as it gets, and I appreciate your work.
ОтветитьFires caused by over growth and bark beetles. Just need a lighting
ОтветитьSpent 2 yrs living and working in Yosemite National Park. Such a beautiful area.
ОтветитьFun fact! Edward James Olmos's son, Bodie Olmos (who played Hotdog in Battlestar Galactica alongside his dad's Admiral Adama) is named after that abandoned town. :D
ОтветитьCity people this guy doesn't get it I don't see myself watching any of his channel he's not off-road type person I don't see why he puts on this he's just in it for the money and you know nothing against the bistro but seriously buddy get your head out of your ass God bless everyone
ОтветитьWatch out for Graboids.
ОтветитьThe Yammie Newb call sign comment 😅😅😅
ОтветитьGood stuff and that sure like a clean cut on that air mattress
ОтветитьDork looked hella stoked on the taylorsville lunch haha
ОтветитьIve watched this 3x haha
ОтветитьSick vid Ian! Be honest, what would your bike of choice be for this trip.
ОтветитьThank you for NOT BLAMING GLOBAL WARMING FOR THE INCREASE IN FIRES. your governor and the dems are preventing utilities from rebuilding the electrical transmission systems. Just wait for all the fires caused by electric card! THE charging of them and the battery storage facilities needed to store power generated by solar and wind. Since "green energy production" is Not good for spot demand or load leveling. California is in for more black outs & brown outs in the future. Look at what they did to electricity power production in Australia. Investigate!
ОтветитьIan is Jeff your ktm 899 adventure friend? Rember when you guys had to give up because of the Heat and other unforseen obstacles. 😢
ОтветитьI have a Carpuride but I have Apple Carpaly. I have not experienced and over heating or connection issue. I and ride an entire day on my phone 15 battery running maps without plugging in. Android auto must have different energy requirements. I am a road rider and will keep it that way.
ОтветитьI have rode through the Donner Train Tunnels on my DS. Lots of fun.
ОтветитьHreat watch! My favourite part is where you fact check the media and call out their BS.
Its good to see people with a platform keeping it real. It is a much needed stance to combat the ever accelerating pace of the gov/media propaganda machine.
Thanks for sharing.
I’m thinking you are liking that Zuke. They can grow on you like that.
ОтветитьHave you done Redding to the Lost Coast on 36? Another favorite of mine is Leggit to the Coast both directions.
ОтветитьHow uncomfortable/loud/tedious would this trip have been on a KTM 500 exc?.... Saw a lot more street riding than I expected.
ОтветитьHi Ian, great excursion well documented, except perhaps a few barely perceptable errors of the ages of things? According to google, the moon is 384,400km from the earth and increasing its distance at the rate of 3.8cm/year which when multiplied by 100million years (not 1 or 2 billions) renders 380,000km, which when subtracted from current distance means the earth would have been a scant 4400km from rubbing shoulders with our mountain tops just 100 million years ago (well short of any "billions of years" wouldn't you say? Correct me please if my sums don't add up.
ОтветитьWhat a great video! I’m ready to get on that bike and road with you.
ОтветитьCouldn't agree more about what you said.. Long rides thinking about stuff or simply nothing! Sometimes you just need to be in your helmet to get things done. Well said!
ОтветитьThankyou for the geographic teaching and all the pictures you send us your à great journalist, the sound of the Suzuki is nice i realy think of buying one .i own a KLR now next spring maby à New bike 🏁
ОтветитьJust watched this in one go. Loved the video and format. I’ll be doing a bunch of trips like this in the Philippines next year on the my VStrom and CRF 300 Rally. Unfortunately information on routes there is pretty hard to find so I’ll have to make up the routes as I go. Just bought the Klim Bala jacket and pants based on your review. Looking forward to more trips like this on your channel.
ОтветитьWhich Flying Eyes model are those and the color?
ОтветитьGreat video! Let me know when you come to San Diego and you’re welcome to stay with me
ОтветитьGreat film! Thank you! It looked like a great trip and a good BDR to add to the collection. And pretty funny to see you were enjoying Futurama at the end there, too. :)
ОтветитьThank you for doing this.
ОтветитьWhich Carpuride is that?
ОтветитьEnjoyed tge added Drone footage. Well edited and filmed.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing your trip.
ОтветитьHello Ian, I really enjoy this film. Great to see a relaxed ride, good times and insights in the surroundings. Especially that last part is invaluable for me watching from a far away country 🇸🇪 and adds another dimension to the film. Thank you!
