BGG's Top Board Games for Families & New Gamers This Holiday Season

A tip in case anyone goes looking, Draftosaurus is OOP and not really available online except for overpriced copies. I do not think new copies will arrive for this holiday season. Best shot is your FLGS (though I’ve noticed in my area they are all out, too).

This is a much more helpful list for the vast majority of families who aren’t already filled with gamers. Thanks for not forgetting a classic like Splendor that still functions great as a family/gateway game! It’s still a new experience for most non-gamers.

I would definitely include Herd Mentality in this list. The whole family can play, you can teach it in under 2 minutes and it's so much fun!

Good list, would like to have seen some B roll footage for some context.

One of my favorite new family games is Cross Clues. Similar to So Clover, but better.
