You're not the holy chosen one anymore!
ОтветитьThis was a personal attack
Ответитьabsolutely love it, very helpful stuff. 100% about me😂❤
Ответить"Minimum Viable Dumbness" (MVD) my approach to fighting against this problem
ОтветитьBro what the f happened to your hair
Ответитьhandsome haircut
ОтветитьThere goes the Nazarite vow.
Ответитьbro who are you? where is the ... what
Ответитьhe sacrificed his hair for our programming sins
ОтветитьGreat phrase: "good enough to ship is way better than perfect but forever in dev mode..."
(with figma's consent)
The last big project I did took me 3 months after hours and at first it went fast then it slowed down a lot because it became very repetitive.
ОтветитьI felt attacked the first 50 seconds, i might have a idea why.... but i will just watch the video in silence
ОтветитьFor the first 2 minutes I thought I'm watching Primeagen with new hair cut lol
ОтветитьAgreeing on what finished looks like was the hardest part of any project I've been involved with, and for some weird reason it's even harder when you have nobody to argue with.
ОтветитьBrotha!!! I got 3 projects all half baked!!! Even bought remarkable just to create “a plan” and still didnt work!! HAHAHAHA
ОтветитьPeople will not believe, I have more than 100 unfinished projects
ОтветитьWHO ARE YOU?? 🔫😠
Ответитьi've been thinking about trimming the mane over here myself... i think you may have just convinced me that is, in fact, time!
ОтветитьI have all of that I guess I need a therapist
Ответитьyou can't just cut your hair and expect me to trust you
ОтветитьYeah i have a lot of unfinished projects 😂😂
I just cant go back
When i start new project i put everything i have in to it and then i reach a point where i get so tired then i just get some time off and never o back to it
This is really bad
Omg this is literally me 😂😭😭
ОтветитьWho are you? I dont know you. Why are you making a video about me? Where did you get all that info!? I thought i was being thorough with my opsec.. This is embarrassing.
But seriously, that was great! You helped me put words on my situation, and that subconscious thought trying to find an excuse got crushed right from the start!
просто ахуительное видео, невероятно точно попал и пояснил на примере научных терминов что да как, спасибо большое, стало намного яснее как с этим бороться
ОтветитьIt all comes back to Atomic Habits. Good stuff, not just for programming, but for life in general. I like your stuff, Forrest.
ОтветитьMy favourite project to start is a new project template so I can start new projects much more efficiently.
ОтветитьOh boy, perfectionism.
Layouts mismatches, quirky features, typos, project architecture, overengineering, conventions...
I would say the biggest nail in the coffin of web dev projects is that a lot of the projects don't actually solve a real problem. When you hit a wall, it becomes very hard to motivate yourself when you are somewhat aware that you're not building something that helps people or solves a problem.
ОтветитьFor some unknown reasons this video made me angry :p :p
ОтветитьLet me just setup my vscode and emacs, it needs to be perfect before I can work on the project 🙄
ОтветитьI almost said who tf is this when I saw his face
ОтветитьIts now 4 year that I stuck and struggle to finishing my 1 project
ОтветитьSounds also like what happens whem you get a request for a system doing x, and you plan for x, then as you check of milestones getting closer to x scope creep stsrts culiminating in the ever green "well the most important part of this system was actually z" .. -_-
Ответитьthx now im going to continue my 5 unfinish project
ОтветитьDo you use lights in your camera setup
ОтветитьI mean... sounds a lot like ADHD.
I have intimate knowledge of this process. The part that goes wrong about it at least.
Lol, I have finished one of my side projects
ОтветитьHey Forrest, your long hair looked much better, it gave you character, and with all respect to you (i love your channel), you're just looking like another npc yt presenter.
well, at least it'll grow back (unless you're cutting it to preempt MPB, or medical, then for that, you have my thoughts and prayers)
great video, i like that you emphasise some key points people need to keep in mind (i sometimes forget about these things when i'm in doom loop). liked the way you addressed vibe coding and that they're not actually learning, the best way to use AI is to help you do something rather than do it for you.
and the hair, yeah, about that...
There is one type of project for which shoe creep is a good thing: learning project. When the goal IS to go through the motions… Chase that scope creep and learn! Am I missing something?
ОтветитьI too 😅😅, have same thing 😢
ОтветитьI needed this video, thank you.
ОтветитьThe reason why people scope creep is because when they want to push a product to market they know that they only get one shot to impress a potential customer. If they come to your platform and it has 10% of the feature another one has, you’ll never see that customer from the market again. So people out of paranoia build every possible advantage they can to convince a potential customer to stay.
Ответитьlol this format rocks, keep it up!
