ОтветитьOh My Goodness I live about 2 miles from the Old Sautee Store I love that piece If she brought it to Sautee Nacoochee Valley Georgia I am sure someone would pay good money for it ,We are very proud of our Valley here and there is a lot of History and the Old Sautee Store is part of it
ОтветитьCould the bombay box originally held a gun??
ОтветитьMyra brother n wife lived in Remotest Ga n visited The Sautee Store
Also hubby n I went fly fishing there
The condition on the Shakespeare book is poor at best. A five dollar copy on a good day.
Ответить💖💖💖
ОтветитьInteresting explanation for Victorian fussyness 👍🏽
ОтветитьI love this type of video. Thanks!
ОтветитьThe reindeer outside was adorable. How did you leave it.
ОтветитьThat was so educational, George! Love the appraisal fairs; so much rich history. I really loved the coverlet & thought for sure you'd say Scottish, because alot of Scots settled in the Appalachian mountains in WV. On camera, it even looked like it had a little bit like a plaid weave to it. My grandmother was from Ireland & my grandfather was a Scot. I know, what a combination! I'm curious what our clan's tartan looks like.
ОтветитьWell done.
ОтветитьProbably the friendliest town because everyone is sitting in easy chairs.
ОтветитьYou are so caring and knowledgeable. Thanks for sharing your talent
ОтветитьI so enjoy your videos,. You seem very knowledgeable about just about everything.
Ответитьthx for sharing your vast amount information
ОтветитьHi, I really like your videos. Watching this one I saw the box, I believe it's an antique dueling pistol box.
ОтветитьI love that Persian table
Ditch that cloth that you are appraising on - better to see detail on wooden table top or plain cloth You should get some tablecloths with your logo on them for a professional look for your increasing number of appraisals. I’d be tempted to get a turntable too so you can look round a piece without having to move it around in your hand😀
That person’s details on the Indian box shows he was from Scotland The Scots were valued by the British East India Company as having a reputation for being good administrators
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your knowledge. I have a "sandwich" decanter set as well as other matching pieces including a large vase (81 pieces in total). My neighbor gave them to me a few years ago. They don't glow 🙁, but I enjoy just the same.
ОтветитьI’m learning so much from you! Grateful!😻
ОтветитьThe box interior looks like it could fit a gun,,,but Idk...this is a great one again George.
ОтветитьInteresting video. Thanks
ОтветитьMerry Christmas George. Praying for you. Just started to watch your video. I have seen you on Jeffery’s video. Stay warm Sending money to Baptist Church there. Fabulous idea. Feed the people !
ОтветитьMy friend Anna Whitis, purchased the same 1880's pioneer doll, it is in good shape, original cloth body, porcelain head, & period clothing. Kevin Phoenix
ОтветитьThanks George! I always enjoy antique appraisals.
ОтветитьGeorge, you are a treasure! So much knowledge of the past, all aspects of the past, is being lost. If the kids today ran out of batteries and there was no TV or internet would they survive? I mean really? Do they have the skills to try and make anything? Grow anything? Talk to each other face-to-face?
Don't get me wrong, I love my cell phone because of channels like yours, quilter's, furniture restorers, gardeners, etc.
As a World culture, I see such magnificent glass, pottery, crocheting, etc. Is it lost?
I am a fan of your videos and I started watching them this year. I am so glad I discovered this channel. This is a wonderful video. Keep them coming.
ОтветитьThank you, George, for another great video! I learn so much from all the information you share with us.
