Corepunk First Impressions "Is it Actually Worth Playing"

Why ai voice acting gather the developers each one can cover 2 or 3 npc and I'm sure some of the fans of the game who are now on beta are willing to cooperate for it.

I played all alphas and I can say if you want to be rewarded for effort and not for RNG gambling in terms of crafting and gathering then it's not for you. Very frustrating game mechanics for a NOT Asian MMORPG.

I don't understand how this game is a MMO and comes out with early access that lasts 1 year

watching this video then going and reading the website FAQ. makes me feel like you're playing a different game the whole FAQ has different information on it regarding class archetypes and also just says " yes we will be adding this in the game" when asked about core features. it also mentions a beta test close to the end of 2025 before full release. isn't early access used for testing and fixes? or is this just some ALPHA pig they trying to pump out to people before pull the rug and close the whole game?

Honestly the thing that gives me faith is them purposfully not releasing on steam yet, so they dont get hit with a mostly negative that sticks. Also gives me faith itll be supported until at least a steam launch, which by then ill have had my fun to justify the money i would assume

moba style camera is actually great for people like me, who has vertigo and can't play traditional MMOs. very cool!

dude sorry but i just cant force myself to enjoy this camera style. i really dont like not being able to move my camera around. it feels so much less interactive to me to not be able to do a 360 degree turn and check out your surroundings, like you can in osrs or WoW. main reason why i couldn't keep playing albion online. this locked camera position is just not for me man. also i realize this is 100% totally my own opinion some people love this camera style and thats great

The idea of an MMO not being a service based payment process feels unfeasible. Servers and dev work costs money and the way games work in the market is there is an initial hype that generally falls off pretty quickly and then bumps up upon dlc/big releases. Surviving off expected bulk cash infusions feels dangerous. Curious to see how long they are able to stay alive with that payment model. Game looks pretty good though! I'll put my money where my mouth is and likely purchase it. Thanks for the review hadn't even heard of this one yet!

been playing this since alpha 2 ... over the course it evolved. devs are listening to community and making good changes. I think it has potential cant wait to play ea.

My only gripe with the game is the lack of Instanced Content, they claim to be adding more in the future, but i still think 1 Instanced Dungeon PER BIOME is far too little, and if they could do like atleast 2-3 per Biome i think that would be enough to make room for future ones to be added without feeling like its too much bloat...

But game seems amazing and very unique, and im very excited to try it.

Core gameplay of Corepunk is having a chrome tab open with a guide to do basic tasks because the game “doesn’t want to hold your hand”… Like I get that people miss “harder difficulty” mmo’s but I feel like this one is being difficult not as in requiring skill, but difficult like a “child who doesn’t want to go to school”. This is best shown in quest where you have to find a brother of one of the goblins- “Go find my brother. I don’t know his general location! F*ck off! find him”. For me that summed it up like this - We are a difficult mmo so we won’t tell you how or where to do something f*ck off figure it out.
Soulslike games are difficult, but this, this is just poorly written.

Unfortunately it's an EA and there's literally no content other than gathering and killing mobs right now.

I'll wait until the game is fully released before I buy the game. A early access (still in development) mmorpg is a no go for me.

Mapping system just looks like a bad idea. Not having ANY idea what's in the zone until you wander around aimlessly to find it? That ain't a classic MMO trope nor "not holding the player's hand", that's just telling the player to go [community guidelines] themselves for daring to want even rough landmarks and settlement locations. Don't even need a "you are here" label. Standard map of the region with large points of interest on it would suffice. But not having any of that until you stumble onto it? Bad design.

another fake paid Corepunk advert. They going all in. Look kiddos. They are fulfilling NONE of their early access promises like BGs, arenas, dungeons or new classes and this EA launch is essentially the exact same Alpha test we have already played. These devs are completely delusional and refuse to listen to their community. Game will die during EA, be shut down and you will all be out of 40 bucks.

What you said has literally been done in every single MMOs ever. In short, this game does nothing except for the fact that you can move your camera away from your character. Not even a good quest system, or a unique combat system.

Looks good aesthetically, but I heard the questing and combat feels bad.

Purchased the beta not too long ago, gameplay and progression felt terrible felt terrible. Might want to study more footage before you commit and buy the game for yourself.
