MEPS is a very long day..........

I have ormal hearing but how do you pass the hearing tests? Cause that part scares me the most!

This is not all true I did my MEPS at lee and it was different

could you elaborate on what they test you for when you do the urinalysis test.. For me they did 3 tests but I was too intimidated to ask what they were for.

When you said you have to do those tests in just your underwear, for girls can you have a bra on ?

Back in 2004; At Sacramento MEPS when I got breath tested, the lady complimented me, "WOW! You have great lung strength. I wish everyone had great lung capacity like yourself." HAHA! I was Army 2004-2009.

I went to meps a couple days ago. The one in Portland was actually a very easy and pleasant experience. The hotel was nice, the only part I really hated was having to pick between very few jobs that I qualified for.

I have a question about the hearing test you mentioned that people can get disqualified during that step. Wouldn't that depend on their MOS because some don't really require perfect hearing? 

I go monday and tuesday. Going in active duty

My hotel was very nice. It was a Marriott. I live in Indianapolis and it was in the city but kind of far like20-30 minutes away. Most people were from parts of Indiana I'd never heard of. I'm used to a big city do I was quite surprised when I asked a girl about where she lived and she replied "it's a pretty big town we have like 3 Walmart's. " I didn't respond I was just thinking to myself we have 3 Walmart's within 5 minutes of each other......

What should I wear? I'm a 20 year old female. Do you wear makeup / hair up or down for MEPS?

Can you take the ASVAB exam or MEPS and then go to basic training at a later date? I'm currently trying to finish my associates degree; I'm in my last year.

I am 18 year's old and I would like to know if there's anything I can say to my mother that would ease her fear about me making the decision in joining? She can't help to let her only daughter go

A good recruiter always explain the whole process, from ASVAB, physical exam to enlistment.

If you're overweight is that an automatic DQ or can you go to MEPS again after you have lost the appropriate amount of weight? In my case it's 15 lbs.

How many times can she look to the que card notes? She said she stayed at home...then she was at the hotel??? Lets be real here, MEPS could take several trips, and not every time will you have to sleep overnight... Its also sitting and waiting possibly for hours at a time before anything will get done per individual...plan on the whole day if you're lucky it'll be under 6 hours... each time you go from initial to each time after should take less time, but depends on crap that still needs to be done! Sit and wait!
This chick has never been there...regardless, just know you are going to be there awhile and possibly make multiple trips...

I think it's hilarious that people comment on these types of videos about how "nice" the hotel is or the food. LOL it doesn't even matter having been through MEPS for two different enlistments.

I passed my ASVAB. And my recruiter told me just wait about week or so to Schedule for medical, and then two weeks for MEPS, so is that right? It's gonna take that long time??? Can u tell me how long will take from once you pass the ASVAB till you got enlisted??? Thanks

If I had known about some of this information more than 22 yrs., 8 mos, I would have been able to have enlisted. It was a medical disqualification for me not enlisting into active duty Navy in August 1994.

Hi, I am curious on how difficult it is to get into the military? I am a 5'0 tall 100lb woman and I seem to meet all the basic requirements (health, graduated, not on drugs etc.) Any advice you have I would appreciate!
