I have a question to with the mouth wider thing is it supposed to hurt form your gums? Because I’m as crying when they did that

I find Ortho patients extremely difficult. Usually they are very inflamed despite OH education, tips for at home. The elastic are covered in plaque. Flossing takes forever. So challenging.

Haha oh My… back in the day, Me AND My mom got hate from the Dental assistant because My Bracletts and teeth werent clean enough, despite I had an Electric Brush and cleaned them for 4 Minutes!!! Every Time. It was the First Control appointment, 6 weeks After I got My bracletts attached and we Both, me and my mom, couldnt believe what she Said. After this, we filed a Complain and she wasnt be Seen again.

At my dentist they would make my cleaning appointment at the same time as my ortho one. So they would remove my wires and clean my teeth easier that way. Then the ortho would come in and check on my teeth and do the changes like usual on my braces 👍

Getting bracaesnext week and Mt cleaning next month

last time I got my deep cleaning the dr told me they can't clean around my ceramic brackets (I specifically went to clean the dark lines around the brackets) and that it would have to be done after my brace journey was over. From this video it really seems totally fine to clean around them...? ugh I wonder if anyone else has had that happen to them. I'm starting to feel like I saw someone really unprofessional last time

I love my orthodontist, before adjusting, they remove the wire and then clean it properly.

I think I have some tarter underneath one of my brackets not underneath but like at the side I have a bracket with a little mettle stick and it’s under that idk what to do because my toothbrush I sent getting that place!!

I’ve had my braces on since early April and my orthodontist told me that before the next time I go back for tightening I should visit the dentist to get my teeth cleaned.

I tend to build up a lot of tartar on the bottom front teeth even with brushing, flossing, waterpik etc.

Now I have a good idea on what a cleaning will look like with braces on. Thank you so much!

could you possibly do a video on a regular manual dental cleaning and what to expect? I know you have a video on hand scaling for hygienists but i just don’t know what to expect from a manual cleaning with a scaler... My family have told me that the cleaning might scratch my enamel and my enamel is already kinda thin and kinda translucent so I’m terrified that I’ve made the wrong choice by paying for a manual dental cleaning (but I have tartar build up and swollen gums so I feel like I’d need this cleaning ahhhhh idk)

I had braces before and the dentist that I went to didn't do the cleaning around the brackets and wires. I had to do my cleaning and also my orthodontic treatment both at the same time but I had my wire and rubber bands removed because this dentist is located in Buena Park CA but they did the cleaning without the wires and the elastic bands aka the rubber bands

Can I ask you ,
My teeth are pretty good , but before 3 years they got really dirty that I had to clean them by a dentist for the first time ( im 21 now ) .
After that they start to get dirty so quickly that I have to go to the dentist every 3 months.
One of the dentists said that they get dirty so quickly because there are really tiny holes and lines that you can't see where the dirt accumulate , so I don't know if that happened because of improper cleaning from the first dentist that I went to or it's just how my teeth are .

I finally sucked up the courage and got braces at 32, and now I'm almost five months into it. Should adult braces patients be getting fluoride treatments at dental cleanings? I read somewhere they should, but I didn't see that in this video.

I don't see any videos on local anesthesia. This is something most hygienists do daily. Many times I've been called to "numb up" the patient for the dr. as well as my own pts. The mandibular block can be tricky, any tips? Love your video on how to find a good dentist, it's all true.

OK, so I went for my cleaning for the first time since I have braces , and the lady diplomatically sent me to hell, for not getting my wires out . I thought they are doing that .
Now , is it better to get them out before cleaning , or it doesn't matter if they stay?
