rc elite v2 was very good, then they killed the shoe in 3 and 4 editions

I picked these up as my first, "super shoe". I didn't know what to think, but I knew all that bounce...spring...rocker adjectives didn't apply to these.

A couple years later after buying the Cielo, Pro 3, Prime X Strung (until the plate snapped). I can now say these look way better than they ride. At least as they were marketed.

Can't wait to see what they do with the next version.

You've probably answered this in the past, but why do you tie your shoes that way ? Does it have a name ?

Sc elite v4 is a banger for road ultras or even looped ultras

I’ve heard nothing but good things about Soar but when I got ready to order for myself, I bailed once I saw the price. I’m sure it’s a good investment but I’m just not in a good enough spot to drop bags like that yet

It seems a comfortable racer to compete against the Asics S4 to compete in comfort a marathon in sub 4 hours.

Ran a 4h marathon at 215lbs in the fall and this shoe was amazing for me! Was looking for relatively forgiving race shoes than ran wide and this was perfect for me. Seriously love this shoe and (to me) has a lot of bounce/energy return. As someone that orders almost exclusively wide shoes, the wide size was a huge upside and I had no fit issues whatsoever, even right out of the box. Perhaps that's a topic (albeit pretty niche) for another video - best race/workout (fast) shoes that are offered in a wide, as like 75% of what is made unfortunately is not. Gotta get some representation for the bigfoot running crew with the wide sizes. Love the vids!

I dont know. They definitely make me faster, the grip is great. But the last time i took them for a spin my legs were hurting after. I prefer a firm shoe but these are hit and miss with me.

Got the COROS POD 2 as a Christmas present and it’s been a game-changer, especially for my treadmill runs. I never pay attention to the treadmill data anymore, just the watch.

Haven’t watched the video yet but I think Cielo X1 was the more fun or aggressive version of this and Superblast provided the same benefits without a plate and at a lower price point. This shoe is caught in the middle of a spectrum between those two well-loved options.

I think what you describe about this shoe, is what the sc trainer v3 feels like to me, not this shoe lol but I’m super slow compared to you.

Considering these for an Ironman… one use case where comfort and support might be prioritized over aggression and excitement.

Definitely a slept on shoe. Love mine. Do long runs and tempo runs in mine. It’s a comfy bouncy shoe. You don’t think it’s bouncy? It’s a truly bouncy shoe, close to the bounce of the Neo zen if you ask me. Love this foam and it’s very fun. I’m 200lbs fyi.

Only a single data point but interestingly Laura Philipp chose the SC Pacer over the Elite for the Ironman World Championship last year. Less stack makes it feel like a racing shoe

Bro. You mentioned the coros pods you were going to get. I haven't looked into them but I have the STRYD pods and they are on point! If you get the STRYD duo it can even map your footpath in 3d to analyze your mechanics. Not to mention it level sets your pacing across both outdoor and treadmill runs. You should investigate STRYD before you pull the trigger on the Coros

The positive comments I've seen on the SC Elite 4 are as a long run shoe for 200+ lb. guys, which rules me out. Maybe they can get more out of the foam.

I love the celo x1 but I couldn't put my authodics in it. Still used it for a half and I was amazing. Worried about the marathon not sure if I should do it. Could try the new balance

I ran my first marathon in these. These were my first “super shoes” Ran a 3 hour 47 minute. I had nothing to compare them to so I definitely felt fast compared to my daily trainers

I traded my pair of Puma MagMax’s in all white (with a few miles on them) for a brand new pair of SC Elite v4’s that come in today!!! People need to stop the sideline hate and stop sleeping on this movement!! We gonna keep saying it till people get it- hop on the SUPWELL APP MILEAGE TRAIN!!!! 🚂

I just did another run in these yesterday, 13.5 miles and gave another breakdown on the SUPWELL APP. I agree with everything you are saying. i love it for easy long runs. you can pick up pace, but you are generating the speed. there's no assistance from the shoe. i got it for $190, so basically super trainer price. The comfort is great.

For the people who are saying there is too much Supwell App advertising, I will be at memorial park Houston, Texas @ 7am. Meet me by main parking lot so we can fight.

It’s funny this video came out on a day I took out the Atreyu Race Model, because I feel the same way about that shoe. The Race Mosel is comfortable, but I don’t really feel any pop from the plate, only rolling along due to the rocker geometry. I’ve never raced in it and never thought of that shoe as a true race shoe given what’s on the market.

Ran my half marathon in them and beat my PR. They have provided the proper support and comfort for me. When I get ready for my marathon later in the year, I may see if something else works better for race day.

I was not ready for the lullaby, and those shorts are for Charlie’s eyes only 👀
