if japanese armor was heavy they shouldnt have developed ju jitsu which is mainly an anti armor martial art
ОтветитьChinese also used dujeonggap armor. In Chinese it’s called dingjia armor
ОтветитьKorean armour???
Correction:
- It's wrong to say that Chinese and Japanese armor were heavier and offered less protection than Korean armor. That part came from a documentary that didn't state any additional sources for the claim. The armor in different countries were designed for various situations, and in the case of Korea, the dujeonggap was optimized for horse archery.
I just actually wish that Korea would absolutely stop bashing other countries and their military techniques and technology because every Country has its own strengths and weaknesses when it comes down to a fight
ОтветитьIt's all in your head when it comes down to your fight if you out think out wit your opponent you will definitely win your fight any time of the day
ОтветитьActually, the Joseon (Korean) army tried to make a full metal armour instead of felt ones like this,
but gave it up after all.
Ryu Seongryong's "The Jingbirok" (柳成龍, 懲毖錄 (류성룡, 징비록)) was compiled in the 16th century.
This book says as follows:
"Japanese soldiers were skillful in handling swords and spears. We were unable to defend ourselves against their attack, because we did not have any hard, and efficient armours to guard ourselves from their attack.
Therefore, we planned to build a prototype of body armours made of thick iron,
with the intent to make our soldiers wearing these armours penetrate deep into our army's territory.
However, as these armours were too heavy to wear,
we abandoned these armours after all."
In sum, the Koreans once tried body armour made of metal, but gave it up because most of them did not have enough physical strength to fight on those heavy ones.
Consequently, when they once encountered the Japanese soldiers face-to-face on land, the Korean soldier, together with fabric/leather armour he put on, were supposed to be hacked into two with Japanese swords. Such a fabric (or leather) thin armour, even though some gilt-bronze spike studs were attached all over on it, had to be almost useless against the fierce stroke of Japanese heavy and huge swords.
In fact, "The Jingbirok" (referred to above) says,
"(Meanwhile,) the Japanese soldiers were infantrymen.
Their swords were extremely sharp, and were 35 to 47 inches long. They furiously wielded these swords right and left to cut down riders and horses altogether. Therefore, there was no way to repulse their fierce attacks."
This great is only in korea history. Somepeople compare chinese and japan.
That is why video show them shortly.
Just ignore brief things in here. Focus on korea. We can judge part of that. This video is just short things
This was good until it went typical full Korean BS 😂. But still it's still amazing that all civilization that achieve advance metallurgy all developed the same armor for the same function.
The might of Goguryeo is not easy to replicate
ОтветитьAlso the modern flak jacket is American. It's called an IOTV and let me tell you... there is hardly any mobility compared to it's predecessor.

Ответитьchinese ming armor?
ОтветитьI play a roblox game called strasbourg, i found out about these uniforms from the sentry one (red one) these are really cool
ОтветитьI’m pretty sure the Ming Dynasty wear the same kind of Brigandine that the Joseon wear, though most of the time they’re mostly covering torso to legs, similar equipments were everywhere. The design concept are the exact same, the Qing variety was directly from the Ming but more heavily armoured (typically depicted)
ОтветитьLol why was Japanese armor called clumsy? 😅😅😅
ОтветитьJapanese armor was not clumsy.
ОтветитьThat armor sure resembles nomad and European medieval armor a whole lot. While the Chinese didn't even give their soldiers iron helmets in those ages.
Ответить배경음악 구립니다
ОтветитьLong live Korea!
Ответитьwhat a load of bullshit
ОтветитьNationalistic propaganda. Derivative of Chinese hand me downs from ancient times to mefieval period. Cringey music.
Modern developments like the Black Panther tank are better. Korea is finally learning from the West. Better late than never.
Koguryo was the best. Do a video about Joui Sonin warriors.
Chinese and Japanese have more clumsy armour 😂😂😂 what did I just hear? When Military textbook of the Joseon kingdom were direct copies of Ming dynasty, when Ming was the main force that drove the Japanese out during the imjin war that’s why they are stone pillars all over Korea at thanked Ming for the “remake of the Korean tributary”, same reason why you used the Ming calendar 200 years after the fall of the Ming dynasty to the Qing, same reason you tried to train 100000 troops to assist overthrowing the Qing and bring back Ming and failed. How insecure do you have to be to make stuff up like that😂
ОтветитьKorea is the Poland of East Asia.
Ответитьthe Koreans were incredible warriors, impressive culture.
ОтветитьBasically this is a history of Chinese armour
ОтветитьGuys, a lot of these armor still exist and you can see them in museums. The Japanese armor sexrion at Met Museum in NYC is enlightening. The armored figures are about 4 feet 10 inches tall.
Ответить썸네일에 나온 분 진짜 잘생기셨다
Ответитьwhat sort of joseon-ot is worn with such armours
ОтветитьLet's be honest, European armor was leagues better than any found in Asia. These are what worked with what was available for these regions. Look at the Mongols. Very little armor for the majority of its' forces and yet they ruled all of Asia into parts of eastern Europe.
