2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E | Review & Road Test

Over priced

My only problems are the Mustang badges, and that obnoxiously large infotainment screen.

Make it the “Ford Mach-E”, and I’ll buy one. I actually really like it, but I don’t agree with the Mustang badges.

No, nope, negative, pass,. We have to evolve with the times but an ev mustang is a nail in the coffin of mustang, let it go, retire the name like Chevy is soon doing with Camaro

Early models of the all-electric 2021 Mustang Mach-E have a battery issue that may leave owners struggling to start their vehicles despite its being fully charged, according to a technical service bulletin that Ford sent to federal regulators. ... The issue affects vehicles built on or before Feb. 3, Ford said.

So far this Mustang Mach-E has been to the dealership for service to fix issues that the owners have found. Now the Ford dealer has told the owner that some of the problems are now “unfixable.”

The Details
Vehicles recalled:
Roof: 13,544 Mustang Mach-E EVs built between Feb. 24, 2020, and July 18, 2021.
Windshield: 17,692 Ford Mustang Mach-E EVs built between Feb. 24, 2020, and July 18, 2021.
The problem: The panoramic glass roof panel and/or windshield may not have been properly installed, risking leaking and even detachment.
The fix: Dealerships will apply additional urethane adhesive, then reinstall the roof panel or windshield. The repair will be done free of charge.

The naming is a marketing decision I'd like to explained by the company. It's just a super strange brand name for an electric SUV. The Mustang already exits - and this ain't it. Overpriced for a company this size.

As often as I have replaced window regulators and blendoor actuators(the electric motor that turns your heater from blowing feet to face) I am reluctant to buy something that relies on another actuator to open you rear door... This is not a mustang, someone else said they should just call it the Ford Mach-E they could also have called it the Ford Edge-E

Just get a Tesla. I believe Tesla will kill most cars manufactures.

I saw one of these on my way to work the other day and loved it! I’ve never been crazy about the idea of an all electric vehicle. Of course they have so many advantages over gas powered vehicles. But range scares me. Sure there are more charging stations popping up nationwide. But I travel from Utah to Louisiana by car to see my family, alone! …And I I drive all night most of the time. I don’t know how I feel about a 45 minute charge late at night alone. It’s sketchy enough filling up a gas tank at some truck stop or old hole in the wall gas station on a dark highway…But that takes less than five minutes. And adding nearly an hour to my trip each time I need to charge isn’t appealing to me either…I won’t pretend to know anything about cars. I always defer to my mechanic son. However, I would be more inclined to buy this if it were a hybrid for the reasons I stated above. I will say, this is the first all electric vehicle that made me do a double take and actually consider the possibility of making the switch from gas to electric. Only time will tell…

Mach e gt is faster than the gt500 0 60. this fact alone makes it worthy of the mustang name. Ford calls it is a mustang therefore it is. thats reality not fiction.

Ford is a complete waist of time. Tried to buy a mach E, don't have, not available, can't pre order. Bought a new tesla x, easy, better, American made. Ford sucked all the way around.

Good luck charging it! I just had 3 failures at Electrify America where only 2 of the measly 4 chargers were working ! Nice vehicle with a miserably incompetent charging infrastructure!! Don’t walk away run!

When he steps on the gas it looks like he’s going about 30 mph based on the trees in the background lol…..wow hold your horses mustang. Wouldn’t want to get a ticket in a school zone.

The irony when many people didn't like the Mustang as an SUV. Now these same people have gotten completely used to it, which shows that everyone changes their minds once a new car is released. I love it.

I never thought l say this but l love this Ford SUV.

Test drove it today. Very good car, ride quality is good as well as acceleration and cornering ability however the steering can feel lacking and unresponsive. The only other issue is that the touchscreen is quite slow.

This is absolutely not a suv. It only has 5.1” of ground clearance. That’s like a Honda Civic.
