PGA Tour 2K25 Review

"Golf isn't the most exciting sport" ...smh

This game is fun but is very inconsistent and the greens and putting is just awful but beside that the games alright

I find this the swing stick to be way too over sensitive when compared to real life swing power.

For instance, when chipping in this game, swinging just barely over your power circle will blast you over the green, which is not realistic at all.

But I do like the fact that while swinging just under power, you will basically duff it. I think this is more realistic because decelerating a chip shot in real life will lead to a chunk. I understand it’s a very complicated game to perfect, but I don’t think 2K developers completely thought some scenarios through.

Physically demanding this dude obviously never has played 18 holes before I'm sore asf every time

EA is better especially having all four majors and itgot good graphics

Literally the worst game I have ever played

If you like being brutalized. If you like playing a game that punishes you rather than rewarding you. If you like your daily quests put behind a paywall. If you like a game that from the day it dropped is corrupted in the Career Mode. If you like a game that customer support just tells you to try port forwarding to fix their problem. Then this game is for you. I’ve regretted buying games before, but none as bad as this one. 🤮

Worst golf game ever created from, apparel to swing just bad, you have to swing crooked to hit straight, ok that's fine, but even once your character is a high as he can get, even the smallest miss will screw everything up! I can't stand this game, from the way you can make your character look like a complete clown totally mocking the game of golf to making it almost impossible to play is ridiculous, yean go ahead throw your comments down below saying how wrong I am, this is my opinion and it may be like an a hole and you think it stinks but its mine none the less, what kind of man dresses in a kilt that's not Scottish to a man who makes his character with lime green hair and makes his skin color black as night, there's a bunch of clown who developed this game and who play the game, say what you want but it's a complete mockery of the game and 2K should be ashamed, putting boxers on the game for guys to wear, get outta here!!

You know who loved golf?

The game is great. It takes some time to master which mirrors golf in the real world. If you don’t really take some time to master the different short game shots, and get used to the swing stick at least at Pro (Ranked Difficulty) level, you may have a tough time. Overall, the courses and graphics are great and the game is a blast to play, especially if you love golf!

This game is way better than PGA Tour Ea. Their game is trash. Terrible. Zero updates and next to nil in customization. In 2K25 the it's so much smoother all the ball striking, putting, chipping etc. Much better graphics and player custo. Yes micro transactions poison the game, but which titles today are not? I also hate in PGA EA u had to stay connected to play. U csnt even play a "play now" match totally offline. Which is bullshit all day. 2K25 this is not thr case. Yes to a degree u are still connected, but u can atleast, play Now offline totally.

They nerfed the VC after launch. In real dollars terms it cost 6.99 cnd plus tax for 500 vc. Its about a penny and a half for one VC.... so 175 cost 2.62 cnd get your wallet out to play online in pro... you can't progress unless you buy VC and the cost is disgusting...they nerfed what you can earn per round and rhe season pass will net you enough VC to barely anything... making it a game online where if spend money you can be the best.. spend more money.. you an be a better player. This is awful.

If you can't spend the money earned it's useless. You should be able to buy homes and condos in different cities, and buy cars, motorcycles, etc. I played 2k23 won 34million and couldn't spend it. Then it was gone once I won. You shouldn't lose everything you won once you win the game. You should also win cars and receive signing bonuses for sponsorship (in VC 250-1000k) like real life. And why do you run out of balls and need to buy more in a golf game? You should be able to buy it with the earnings not VC. It seems greedy and a way to make money on the backend. In a world with open world gaming, 2k needs to up their game with a better well rounded gaming experience that goes beyond the tournament play.

IGN I think you should update your review to reflect the state of the game at launch. Your review is based on the pre-launch version of the game where it was relatively easy to earn VC. 2K pulled a bait and switch, patching the game after all the reviews were out to make earning VC an agonizing grind and pushing players towards buying VC with their own, hard earned real money.

Games are expensive, and a lot of people depend on gane reviews to determine if a game is worth the $$. 2K played you for fools, and you owe it to the people watching your videos to amend this review until 2K fixes their game

Ea sports pga tour said some bs about having the most realistic greens and ball mechanics and I can’t count the amount of times my ball won’t roll down the slope on a green like it would in real life. 2k23 always had more realistic ball movement on greens

For god sake no random weather opinions and no rain ! How is this a modern game

EA PGA Tour does not have crisp visuals like 2k25. There is too much chromatic aberration and the 60fps mode is not even 4k. This year 2k upped the grass and details so I feel it looks less cartoonish than EA. The camera angles and course views are different giving a different feel. EA may feel a little more immersive of a camera angle while 2K gives a sort of top down or Birds Eye vibe. Obviously all of this is personal preference but it’s what I notice so far.

Spent all their time in meaningless dialogue in single player rather than using the time to make the online experience better and having an online lobby system like Tiger Woods 08.

As a golf fan this game is unplayable to me because of how goofy and cartoony the players look.

It’s absolutely comical how disfigured they look and then they start swinging and it gets worse.

Tiger woods 99’ on PS1 came out 27 years ago and has better looking characters with more realistic swings.

2025k and the graphics are still down at 2018 level.

Everyone in the comments got me ashamed of the fact I enjoy EAs game 😂. I have to give 2K another go so I can be part of the cool peeps! I think it’s just the familiarity for me.
