How long does it last before it gets corroded or weathered? Will rain shrink/crack or damage it?

Thanks for sharing!! and keeping it simple! I make sculptures, planters, rocks, boulders in much the same way. It always amazes me how some people over think it, and make it more complicated than it needs to be. although, I sort of did at first but once I started using and experimenting, it opened up so many ideas. But again, some people don't want to learn, but rather be told everything. I guess its good for me, cause I try to show, but they just end up wanting to buy them.
Thanks again!!

SITE SAYS: Hypertufa is a process of making, by hand, a faux rock that closely resembles tufa, which is volcanic rock. This process creates a lightweight faux rock that can be any shape or size. You can create many things from this method and all are long lasting and will not freeze, crumble or crack in extreme heat or cold temperatures. There are many recipes for variations in color and texture of a faux rock. These faux rock instructions include the basic faux rock ingredients for beginners.

I am SO thinking 'drillable water feature rock' right now!
And what a brilliant way to get rid of polystyrene packing. They don't recycle that stuff where I live, so, what? Landfill? Nope... hypertufa instead!
Thanks for the awesome instructable, I appreciate it.

Good video, but the music and sound was so aggravating I had to turn it off.
