She keeps talking about her relationship, but if a person is HIDING THEIR IDENTITY from you then your not in a relationship, you’re a willing victim of a lying scammer. It’s best to admit that you wanted the fantasy more than you wanted whatever reality you were living with so you paid for him to keep the fantasy alive. Dont make such nasty comments here. It seems to be a pattern with many of these people that they undergo a trauma, like loss of a loved one and something happens to them cognitively. Trauma changes brain chemistry.They might do something like this that they would have never done under ordinary circumstances. Saying nasty things only brings them down lower. And kinder comments might help them recover and move on.

Here's the harsh truth: "They" didn't scam you. "You" scammed you. All they do is test the waters to see if you're conditioned to see past the obvious in your desperation to not be alone. Unfortunately, Christians are an excellent target, not because they are trusting in the good of people but because they are well-trained to believe obvious BS and not question it. Once confirmed, it takes a mere nudge and you write the story yourself because you want it to be true despite knowing it can't be. Wait for this, the only trueness any of them say, "I suspected". That's how all scams work. Not just romance scams. Don't believe me, watch more of these and follow the checklist. Rule#1: NEVER LIE TO YOURSELF no matter how painful the truth is.
