KORG KROSS 2 has some Wacky and Wonderful Sounds

Hi Woody! I have had a few Korg keyboards over the years and really enjoyed playing them. I bought a Kronos 2 61 note synth 4 years ago and it is definitely the best Korg synth/workstation I have ever played! The Kross is a neat keyboard but I suppose, like everything, if you pay a bit more for the Kronos, you get better quality sounds and a wider range of programs. I really liked the way you interpreted the Kross sounds and you really seem to enjoy playing in the video! I know Kronos is an expensive keyboard but I know you would enjoy playing it. I know the Kronos has been around for a long time but perhaps Korg will let you review a Kronos some time?

i was wondering, can you assign the drums to play only on headphones or to a different channel to the usb ?, so you can have them for keeping the groove but to record a channel without them, cause it has only a stereo out. Maybe if you use the built in sequencer and then record what you wish on a daw. I m thinking to buy one for home studio use, this or the roland juno ds 61? I love the groove, one of your best videos in my opinion

I hear the Korg i3 is almost identical to the EK 50 L. Very limited and can't tweak programs or styles, limited polyphony.

It felt like cheap garbage and sounded like it every inch of the way. I would urge people to save up for a better keyboard. I was attracted by the size and portability. For me the Kross 2 is literally unuseable as a professional and I d hate it as an amateur too. Worst keybed I have ever ever seen. Worse than a toy.

Does it come with any of the sounds of the Korg M1? ( The Famous organ patch used on many house track )

I own one of these amazing keyboards and is still getting to know it. This instrument is endless in what it will do. I own both the original and the Korg Kross 2. Korg will always be the DAW for me!

I have the 81 key weighted version and in my opinion is one of the better weighted keyboards out there. It's kind of mushy but it is still reminiscent of a real piano, which I like. Although the sounds are to be desired and the UI is kind of confusing, the potential behind this awesome keyboard is enormous! I love it!

So, using a combi, could I theoretically stack like 3-4 tones and get a super fat sound? Could I like stack a piano, pad and strings?

just got one , I was so looking forward to getting it , after watching reviews for weeks , but sad to say I didn't like the feel of the keys. I've had a few 61 note korg keys & they have all felt better than this, My triton Le , PA series even my 49key tactile . It sounds great , but I want to feel right & it didn't work for me . it's gone back. I still got a D1 piano RH3 keybed & a Kronos so I can play at home , but I really fancied getting out in the park with this. ah well stick to my ukulele.

Any keyboard that inspires you to create gets my vote.many big workstations just tie you up in knots and you lose the flow..I may just let the FA 08 go and get stuck into a Kross 2 especially as it has the sample pads and serious inspirational vibe..Nice one Woody!! Breath of fresh air this one!!

Hi Woody..Did you notice any note stealing in your time with the Kross 2? The polyphony I believe is reduced dramatically with stereo samples though I know this is pretty much the case in all keyboards and often programs are made up of many times reducing polyphony, however I couldn't detect any in this performance and we are similar in the way we play..Steve..I do love the sounds in my FA08 and it's a powerhouse but I don't like the weighted action for organ/synth which features in my favourite sounds..This seems like it covers the same bases as the FA but with a more direct interface especially in the " instant Inspiration" department!!

I have a modx6 and a casino ctx 5000. Let's face it, with today's technology there aren't any bad keyboards. They are a joy to mess with. It can only get better. 👍😊

Is marshell 15 cfx a good choice for kross 2 , because I'm stuck with budget

I once owned this magnificent little keyboard....but had sold it,as I wanted a larger screen & got the Korg Krome EX...wow...what a tragic mistake! The Krome has no audio export & the OS crashed on me only after a few days of owning it(this has been an ongoing defect for a decade now!) I really miss my beloved Korg Kross 2....fast boot up, reliable and very versatile for the price point. I really need to buy another one....as since I am mainly a PC workstation guy,it's not at all practical for me to burden myself with the financial strain of something like a Korg Nautilus(always dreamed of a cheaper version of the Kronos...but the Nautilus is still too expensive for my budget and quite frankly, not worthwhile...in my opinion.)

Hi, is it possible to create your own Auto Accompaniment Styles including drum programming in Korg Kross 2?
OBS: Idea is, create my own drum rhythms and save them as patterns and add them to the existing list.
If this is possible, please make a video teaching.

Hey can someone explain how the step sequencer works??

I'm pretty much using this for songwriting...but says it's a Midi sequencer....is there any difference between that a regular sequencer on a workstation keyboard???
