No one is gonna buy them😂😂😂 they should change badge to byd and you gonna love it communist lefty😂😂😂 go drive junk Chinese cars 😂
ОтветитьSmells a lot like a monopoly!!! Ergo, it can be destroyed by the U.S. Supreme Court.
ОтветитьTesla sales occur online, efficiently and with zero hassles or dubious sales tactics
All service occurs in a service center streamlined for efficiency and without service sales pressure
What could be better than that?
Tesla also has remote service, just like the third party glass repair industry
What could be better than that?
It's been a matter of discussion at the automotive brands for decades to separate the obvious conflict of interest between sales and service and the negative impact on consumers and the manufacturers
ОтветитьThe only reason u need a dealership is for warranty work or maintenance tat all and the reason these car are expensive cause if these dealership they markup the msrp
ОтветитьDealerships are a racket
ОтветитьDealerships and Unions are just a legalized version of the mafia.
All manufacturers should be allowed to sell directly to consumers.
All companies should be able to not have unions.
They both started with good intentions, but have evolved into "protected" endeavors. Aka a mafia.
I like dealers. They can give discounts off the manufacturers price and when the car goes wrong you can speak to a person face to face instead of dealing with a bot or some customer service agent you can barely understand in a foreign country.
ОтветитьWow, well maybe if you can find a salesman who doesn't lie all day long that might change things. I've wasted so much time with these jerks did I just avoid them like a plague. Just make a call and order your car after you do your homework and remember to exercise due diligence. That is key!
Ответить1k+ delivery fee on the new car. Only in emerica
ОтветитьAfeela, ugliest EV design from 10 years ago
ОтветитьTrump will support dealerships. Why? Because it’s a massive moat for Musk/Tesla, being the only OEM in America who can sell direct. This gives Tesla a $3K cost advantage per car. Trump will do whatever is best for his tech-bro oligarchs and to hell with consumers.
ОтветитьDealerships are an example of corporate greed, getting in the way of... corporate greed. Turns out that sin isn't sustainable.
Ответитьthey should, why have a 3rd party taking a cut in a sale?
ОтветитьWhat do you do with recalls without a dealership.
ОтветитьWent to a dealership to look at a Subaru wagon. Asked if I could see the trunk as I have a very big dog. Was told no - unless I filled in a form with all my information. Walked out - won’t be buying a Subaru
ОтветитьHowever, we still need facilities to test drive the cars, so the model needs to have enough ‘stores’ for that.
ОтветитьLooked at a MachE. Ford dealer had added $1K markup for lifetime oil changes. I told the salesperson to just please remove that extra charge. She said she'd need to speak with her manager. Walked out.
ОтветитьDealerships make at least $2G to $8G per new vehicle sold I believe. Just imagine how much manufacturers can sell and how much consumers can save if dealerships are cut off.
ОтветитьDealers sell cars at cost often to make money on financing and repairs.
ОтветитьUnfortunately the dealership model is part of State law. Manufacturers cannot compete with their dealer. States unlikely to allow change to that law. Manufacturers attempted to shutdown some dealerships a few years ago that were huge financial losses. In some cases there were dealerships in towns of 5000 people in middle of nowhere. Only sold 10-12 cars per year. People would drive twenty minutes away and find another similar dealer. Naturally very high prices. Everyone drove to a nearby small city and get much cheaper. Manufacturers tried to close down very small ones and NADA sued and prevented it. Every small town politician runs on campaign promise to protect their dealers. Usually the only significant business in the town and often represents the identity of the town.

ОтветитьOne of our customers has a Porsche dealership. Although we've known each other for 30 years, we haven't been able to buy a Porsche. The feedback we received was that the vehicle was difficult. It wasn't a special 911 model. We bought a BMW in December. The handover took place outside on a gravel lot at the BMW dealership. Compared to picking up the Tesla Model 3 in Munich, that was a cheek. The Tesla pick-up was in a delivery hall (warm and dry). In other words, Tesla was clearly the best experience in the last 24 months, even though we had bought from BMW and were in dealership with Porsche with a clear intention to buy. Since 2025 the perception has changed somewhat. You are no longer turned away by the secretary or never called back if you want to buy vehicles in the low budget range of 100k to 250k.
ОтветитьFederal system. Trump has no say on dealers.
ОтветитьEuropean here, i would never buy a car witouth a local dealership to support it.
ОтветитьThere is absolutely no chance of the US dealership model changing. It matters not what the customers want, the only way to change State laws on the requirement for dealerships is via politicians and car dealerships are big political donors at local and state level.
Here in the UK if I am buying a new car the only reason for going to a dealer is to get a test drive - actual purchase will be on line only
The dealership make money for states, so they will fight tooth and nail. But they will reform the system, private dealerships will become used car lots or be a holding lot for delivery. And the can switch to a showrooms in shopping malls
ОтветитьThe dealer network system needs to be disrupted. A right to repair legislation however needs to be a pillar to consumer protection and State and Federal Government laws to protect everyone.
Ответитьas much as I hate dealerships, still need them for repairs
ОтветитьCar dealerships today are like brokerages and travel agents 25 years ago. Everything they do can be automated for a much lower cost. Soon realters will be in the same boat.
ОтветитьSam, if and when your ev needs service, where will you take it? I would like to see dealerships go away.
ОтветитьDealerships ruined their own reputations with not disclosing hidden fees tacked on to auto finance contracts, poor customer service, dealer add ons for stupid shit not needed, not willing to negotiate price on vehicles sitting on their lots for months and the worst offense of all DEALER MARKUPS on popular and low production models. The only reason dealerships still exist is because of their lobbying power and many Senators are owners of or investors in dealerships.
ОтветитьThey need to give the dealers the flick I know I pay for the flash showrooms with the high ceilings and then have to listen to the lies. They must add 3 to 5k onto the price of a new car.
Ответить😂😂 Use those two things God gave you called legs and walk out when it’s higher than MSRP!!
ОтветитьThe Backward States, long living on many myths are finally having to wake up to reality.
ОтветитьThey should charge $20 for a test drive, and then subsidize the dealership $80 for every test drive, and allow commission for every sale. In G-d I trust.
ОтветитьI'm not a fan of car dealerships, they are just a bunch of scammers.
Ответить⚠️Dealerships =stealerships 😁
Ответить@electricviking i understand why dealerships can be "deleted" but how about maintenance? The dealer has (when they are doing the right thing) trained mechanics who know the ins and outs of that car and have easier acces to original parts.
ОтветитьThat is why these dealerships are called "stealership" because they steal money from the consumers 😄
ОтветитьI hope you’re right, the only thing worse than going to a dealership to buy a new car is taking a car in for service to that same dealership. It’s time for this type of business to be finished.
ОтветитьHow will warranty repairs and recalls be handled? Who will pay for the local youth sports teams and local politicians election campaigns?
ОтветитьWell what do you expect from a country that doesn't have universal health care? A modern society?
Ответить"I love it when you come here, I learn so much about our EV's" Service writer for a local Dealership. Early EV adopter here dealing with, like most folks, "we don't sell very many, so I don't know much about them."
ОтветитьThe dealerships are hanging on to their business like an addict to crack in spite of their manufacturer's survival.
ОтветитьI will never buy a car form a dealership ever! B!oody leaches and con artists.
ОтветитьYay!
ОтветитьFt Collins Kia is a forward thinking dealership, they deliver Kias all over the lower 48 states. Something that not every dealership could pull off.
Ответить
