Nice. Creepy little place.😁
ОтветитьLove it! It’s wonderful to watch you explain the process. I would love to see more like this.
Very helpful to see how you build the layers, also like the way you explain when you let the paper dry. Adding a limb at the direction change Brilliant! Never heard that before. This was worth watching just to see how you did the trees. Really enjoyed this. Thanks.
Wow. This is great. I will admit there were a couple of times when zoomed in when you added something or put in some color and I was thinking... hmm. But when you back up and see the full sheet it made sense and looked right. I think the thing I've learned the most from watching your videos is the picking. The limited amount of watercolor I've done, I didn't know of this technique so I really appreciate your lessons. Thanks for sharing your work.
ОтветитьLoved it Rusty
ОтветитьJust bumped into your channel. What a pleasure it is to watch a master painter at work! I was glued to the screen when you painted the brown earth- it almost looked like Chinese brushwork— and the trees are gorgeous, in a dry, leafless kinda way haha. So creepy and Halloween style. Thanks! Subscribed! Want to see more and learn, as an intermediate WCist.
ОтветитьGreat video! Do you spray your paints on the palette before you start painting?
ОтветитьIve just started watching your channel, really enjoying it. I just turned 58 started watercolor almost a year ago. I am not artistic but enjoy painting. I can follow a tutorial but where I struggle is having any success painting something from me either a picture I see or something around me or even from my imagination. I didn’t realize when I started that I’d have to have drawing skills. I’m hoping I’ll get there. Some people have a natural ability to put colors together or create from their imagination I just have to work at it.
ОтветитьThat is so cool! I love to watch you mix your colors for not only the hue and value, but also as a beginner, I like to see the consistencies of each mix. I really like the windows, until you put the dark outlines on them and the detail... However, when you glazed the panes like blue, it made all the difference!!! 😃 It must have been the dark lines and white or near white panes surrounded by the bright orange that my eye wasn't seeing depth anymore. But when you glaze the the window panes light blue, the dimensionality came back even better than before you put the line details in! That was great to see. One of my favorite parts of this painting, and you may think I'm strange because I tend to appreciate individual parts of a watercolor painting, because that's the way I keep going and don't quit watercolor painting is to find something I like about each painting. But one of my fave parts on this painting is the door! The contrast with the orange and the deep blue and the way you painted it is just amazing. I like when you talk about what you're doing. I learn a lot that way. For example, after glancing at the picture, you say to yourself (or to us) that this area needs to be a little bit darker or brighter or this area is crumbling.
I love it too when you say that you're getting something to " read " like a rock or like shingles on a roof. That's a good thing to say very often for me and other beginners, as we often get caught up in trying to make things perfect and realistic, which to me is the antithesis of watercolor painting.
What a fun watercolor painting! 😁🎉
Thank you again,
