I am not sure with the review, how can one incompetent rider can be tallyed against others?? It seems more of a skill test rather a motor cycle comparison test, which makes no sense..... [Refering to timestamp 26.18]
ОтветитьElectric motorcycles will never be cool. Plain and simple.
ОтветитьBrand new to bikes, heck I haven't even learned to ride yet but I am going to make it happen and super excited 😎🚲
ОтветитьThe meta cycle absolutely came in last.
Ответитьadd in the price. and metoer will be like 3rd place, crf300 and g310 will be like tie second and ninja first.
Ответитьbest to get a Junk, Used, Disposable or if you prefer new.. chinese. I believe you need to drop your bike maybe 10 times before you're even a decent rider. I think the Lifan KPX250 at $2900 shipped cannot be beat. Similar to the KLX300 at less than half the price. Amazon has the same bike for $3300? You can always sell it for more you paid. With bark busters, indestructable (within reason). You'll need a guest bike anyway for your kids/grandchildren to learn on.. Or for exploring dirt roads in your area. I'd say go cheap Chinese, but it has to have EFI as a minimum, IMO.
ОтветитьFrom experience the only one of those bikes that was probably damaged badly enough from dropping would have been the Kawasaki. I'm not hating on Kawasaki either. Every bike Ive owned except a 06 rc51 has been a Kawasaki. The fairings and snorkels don't like being dropped. But I have friends who have bent their frames on other bikes from low speed crashes. Never had that on my 636. Never crashed any of my other bikes but the 636 has been crashed close to a dozen times. Even the tail is cracked. But truly important except the snorkel. You can only zip tie the snorkel back together so many times as it holds your held lights and speedo to the bike.
Anyways I'd stay away from fairings or get a cage. If I had a brand new 636 (I've owned mine for 20 years so it's not new) but if it was new I'd have bought a cage day one. Same with that 400. Even now as someone who has been riding for 20 years if I bought that 400 I'd get a half cage for it. Beat the bike to a pulp and enjoy it
This should be a yearly test with different bikes each time. I'd love to see one with the Versys 300x, Svartpilen 401, Eliminator, Himalayan, and one of the new Triumph 400s.
ОтветитьThis video deserves 10 thumbs up.
So much work and fun put togheter! Felicitaciones tios, esta padrisimo el vid!
could you do this annualy :)
ОтветитьI own a G310GS and yeah, it's great.
ОтветитьI think I’m going to get the bmw for a commuter bike. I live 14 miles from work all back country roads
ОтветитьAs I turn 64 his year, I need to rid myself of my liter bikes in the garage. As I love riding I know a light weight bike is just as fun if not more so. Not freeway friendly but freeway riding is much fun anyway. I've always liked just putting around. I'm really considering a scooter or royal Enfield, or a triumph. Of course price is an issue.
Ответить4 bikes no service manuals? -10 points to all the riders, not the bikes.
ОтветитьExcellent video
ОтветитьThanks so much! I enjoyed watching this list but I had a bit of a bigger budget and have never rode any motor bike before, I decided to get a ninja h2r instead and I was wondering if this was a good purchase, I can’t wait to pick it up and take her for a spin down my street!
ОтветитьI recognize the background that Apple Valley!!
ОтветитьAs a bigger fella looking at a ninja 400, i was really pleased to see how it performed with a similarly sized man behind the bars
ОтветитьLaughs in english
ОтветитьAnyone but Spurgeon on the 300L, please. Cripes. Nobody needed the ode to the electric bike in the mix, messed the scoring up big time....and not a viable option.
Ответитьme with my 510lbs 90' Super tenere o_0
ОтветитьHonestly, Ninja vs Meteor.
ОтветитьCSC San Gabriel SG-250 owner here, enjoying the entertainment. :-)
ОтветитьInteresting test. Fun video to watch. 😊
Curious how they would have done if all had the same tires?
Lock your front brake with some handy string
ОтветитьAny of these bikes will get you down the road.
Except for that electric thing. Throw that garbage in the trash.
I thoroughly enjoyed this comparison of different entry level bikes. The two advantages the Sondors has over the others is that the neighbors won’t be complaining about your comings & goings due to zero noise and not having to change motor oil & filter. The adventure or dual-sport bikes I think are the way to go as they can adapt to urban, open road, and twisty turn road riding. The Royal Enfield looked like the most comfortable one to ride on for urban/open roads. Hard to beat a Kawasaki Ninja for speed and twisty road riding.
Please conduct a test of what the next bike purchase would be after gaining a little experience.
620 Monster was a fabulous first bike! Even for a woman! Easy clutch, smooth handling, etc., etc.!
ОтветитьI thought Zack was Rick Steves for a second
ОтветитьThis is so funny. Love it.
ОтветитьMy favourite group test 😂 The Sonder was a poor representative for electric. Should have used something like a zero that are really quick.
ОтветитьMy first bike will be a honda SCL500. Solid engine, decent power output. And very agile. One day, I'll add a ninja 400 or a Suzuki GSX8R to the garage.
Ответить😂😂😂😂
Ответитьfor just $1500 more than the sondors, you could get a 145hp Energica Ego off of cycle trader and enjoy mid 11s and much longer range. So check it out and buy it :)
ОтветитьThat royal is #1 in my book but that bmw is a close second.
ОтветитьI enjoyed this. Very different.
ОтветитьI brought a meteor 350 great bike but huge issue i found was getting assess to basic parts and wait times everythings is overseas unless you have a nearby dealership even then there is still long wait times for specific parts order through the dealership.
Best example was i waited half a year just for engine protective bars and a back rest chair from the brand.
Bmw 3 great beginner bike just got it 2024
ОтветитьI'm still not ready for an electric motorcycle, they look odd. I know they're necessary to turn the climate change around but they're expensive and not good looking. I'm still wishing manufacturers could figure out a way to bring back two-strokes to the street.
ОтветитьLMAO! The voice inflection on the Ninja when going over the bumps :D
The RIIIding poSSSition on this nIIIInja
I think that last test was the best test. It did show that to most people, the service costs of a G310GS may not be ideal, but it isn't the only light weight ADV for sub $6k on the market. The best beginner bike will be the bike that suits how you intend to ride. But they also really showcased the versatility of an ADV, even middle weight and heavy weight ADV's (after your beginner bike) are still good in the twisties and on the highway if you never take it off road, but if you do want to take it off road, most of them that are 50/50 or more will go wherever you point it. My first bike was a KLR650, I still have it, and it's great for what I need out of a bike.
Also worth noting that the overall message of the video, that the spec sheets don't tell the whole story, is so real. Review videos and articles are your friend when starting out. You can also usually find vs reviews of almost any two bikes in class and that can really help narrow it down.
No SV650? KTM390?
Ответить"electric motorcycles are supposed to be what's next".....umm, says who, the elites that have ties to the "electric" marketplace? Wait until they spontaneously combust in peoples garages, just like the cars and bicycles are now.
ОтветитьI would like them to do this exact same thing again, but with middleweight bikes. Probably under 800 cc, because I want to see a test done for bikes that are more suited to larger riders. I am 6 foot six, 285 pounds, I have a 36 inch inseam, tracking down a bike for me to start on, that I won’t look like a bear on a tricycle, is a challenge. Especially since I don’t like cruisers so much. I definitely don’t want a big ass expensive Harley. I find that most media on people getting beginner bikes, is for people who are short. And I already know, because my neighbor has a Z 400. That anything of that size is way too small for me.
ОтветитьThat was fun excellent job guys.
Texas on the prairie
It was so fun to watch! 🤣🤣
ОтветитьBMW nailed it!
ОтветитьYall know damn good and well that crf should have ben in 3rd lol
