For those of you who have been following my art journey on this channel, you'll have seen that recently I've been inspired by celtic design, particularly Celtic Knotwork. I have been sketching circular knotwork patterns based on linked triquetra designs and wanted to know if I could expand them so made this piece with linked circles in the centre and then a chain of linked triquetra (three-lobed knots) around the edge. I also used this as a piece to experiment with a slightly splashy watercolour style and kept my design clear using masking fluid.
I do have some recommendations for finding more about Celtic Art. A couple of channels on YouTube; David Nicholls and Aon Celtic Art are both really helpful. I've also been working through Aidan Meehan's 'The Book of Celtic Design' and have found lots of inspiration there.

I'm a printmaker, specialising in screen print. Most of my work begins with fine liner drawing so I'm highlighting that on this channel.
