Reportedly she had cancer as early as the late 80s, but it went into remission, then came back with a vengeance. I think it states this on her death certificate. Sadly, she was in denial when it came back and she might be alive today if she would’ve dealt with it head on. No new news here really. The Bewitched E True Hollywood Story covered all the same territory with her death 20 years ago. Thanks for the clip though.

As far as the curse goes I doubt it I loved Dick York, however he was a chain-smoker. Emphysema was most likely inevitable. Elizabeth Montgomery ignored her pain for a long time. Early diagnosis could have saved her, It cost her. D Sargent died of prostate cancer .

Elizabeth Montgomery, as an actor would have probably felt a lot of pressure to be the "good trouper" which I think is why she didn't go to a doctor sooner. Just like with John Ritter who was having terrible pain in his chest, I think actors learn early that a sick actor is an unemployed actor and even though they were both famous, they probably felt an obligation to the other actors and the crew to soldier on. A lot of employed people in general feel this way too. Sad.

Misdiagnosed and too much time passed. Very sad.

She was my first celeb crush. Thete will always b a soft spot in my heart for her. At 10 or so, Liz was my idea of the purrfect wife. Animated, playful, funny, and always enjoyable to b around. When i found out she was a heavy smoker to stay skinny as Samantha, i cringed. Then i cursed Hollywood for its way it made women go to extremes to look as glamourus and perfect as possible.

There is a 2021 video that looks at the autopsy done on Eliaabeth. A forensic pathologist looked at the cause of Elizabeth's death.

She started feeling ill in February of 1995, during her last TV movie. Those on the set noticed that she wasn't feeling good and that she had lost weight. But Liz fought through it, concerned about completing the movie and her colleagues. Her doctor gave her some painkillers. But they soon didn't work and her pain increased.

The video pointed out that Liz was also taking care of her husband, who needed a hip replacement.

Once the film was completed, her family got Liz to a hospital and they performed surgery to see what was going on. By then it was too late. She was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer that had spread to her liver and lungs. Pain had also spread to Liz's adomon. She passed away eight weeks after the diagnoses.

What's sad is, Elizabeth, i don't think, ever met some, if not any, of her grandchildren. She still had so much work that she could've done.

Elizabeth Montgomery was a kind and caring person, and she will not be forgotten. ❤

I really had a big Time crush on her when I was really young. I really like the intro too the cartoon character. And at that time Halloween was my favorite holiday.I was shocked to hear that she passed away like she did so many years ago.
