Your vids are rapidly becoming works of art in themselves, Stefan! Sadly, this gentlemen's knife, named after the President who warned of the industrial-military complex, would now be confiscated in airports in the United States. Something to ponder!
ОтветитьThis is a fabulous review. I also love the History.
Ответить@edwyrd oops i clicked the wrong thumb. Definately a thumbs up remark. My money is flying out of my pockets also after watching these reviews. Sorry again about the thumb, YT wont let me change it
Ответитьvery neat review
ОтветитьHey Stefan ever consider teaching?? :). Because you are a very smart guy :). FANTASTIC video :)
ОтветитьVery good job and wonderful job editing the video!!
ОтветитьOutstanding review- keep them coming!
Ответить@ATF6281914 Thank you, Andrew! I was lucky to find this public domain documentary movie about "Ike". That helped me to keep the video short. And as you know, I always script my videos.
Ответить@1snowreaper Same here. LOL
Ответить@Doggorunning Thank you for taking the time to watch my video, Chris! Very much appreciated! I'm glad you like it.
Ответить@TheEvrael Good question! I guess it depends on the blade length. A small spear point blade is always referred to as a pen blade. But I'm only guessing.
Ответить@TheLazySpoiledKitty Actually, I used to work as a scientific assistant at a German university many years ago. I'm not smart, I only read a lot of stuff. LOL
Ответить@heynewgirl Thank you!
Ответить@TheUrbanPrepper Thank you very much!
Ответить@mrmonkeyman50 From what I have read, a lot of historians consider "Ike" to be one of the ten best Presidents the United States ever had.
Ответить@EXPENDABLE50 Thanks for watching!
ОтветитьEisenhower factoid -- He originally came up with the idea for the US Interstate system after he saw your German engineering marvel -- the Autobahn. : ) Because of Ike, it is now easy to travel across the 3000 miles of land we have here in the US. Because of him, the entire concept of the American "road trip" came to be. Something us Americans take for granted today -- the freedom to go to any part of the US we please at any time. Great vid, Stefan.
Ответить@MrJimbofox Thank you! I didn't know that. The more I learn about this man, the more respect I have for him. From what I have read, a lot of historians consider "Ike" to be one of the ten best Presidents the United States ever had.
Ответить@stschmalhaus I would totally agree. Keep up the great work, sir.
ОтветитьI learn something every time I watch one of your videos. Keep up the great work!
Ответить@edgedweapon88 That's the best compliment I can get. ;-)
Ответить@stschmalhaus Internet Archive I'm guessing. You've cited them before. I would like to see a video on how you make your videos (scripting, researching, etc), unless that's a Schmalhaus secret. Also, I'd like to add that Case put this video on their Facebook page for all to see.
Ответить@Tardisius beat me to it :P
ОтветитьThat's pretty cool that he gave them away. I bet it's really hard to prove they are genuinely from him though.
Ответить@ATF6281914 Thanks for letting me know. - Don't expect a "making of" video any time soon, I'd rather invest my time in creating primary content.
Ответить@stschmalhaus That's fine. I was just curious how you did things, but I understand.
ОтветитьReally really great video!
Ответить@stschmalhaus Just noticed your vid annotation that Ike was listed as 33rd Prez while you thought 34. Depends how you count. Grover Cleveland served non-consecutive terms (22/24 administrations) so Ike was 33rd man who served as Prez, while his election was 34th administration. Cleveland has given students of history headaches for years because of this counting problem!
Ответить@mrmonkeyman50 He gave me headaches, too. ;-) Thanks for the clarification!
ОтветитьI never get tired learning about history or knives. thanks
Ответитьreally good review so good i am buying this knife
Ответить@ristin59 Thank you!
Ответить@mrmonkeyman50 Poor old Ike would probably turn over in his grave...and I couldn't blame him one bit.
ОтветитьWonderful job on the editing, etc. that went into making this video--it's hard to go wrong with history and knives.
Ответить@wcropp1 Thank you for your kind words.
Ответить@tendollarword My Eisenhower is from 2009.
Ответитьyou should review the Case Peanut. that would be awesome!!
ОтветитьYour Case knife reviews are excellent. I would like to see more. One knife at a time. Danke.
ОтветитьAs usual another homerun of a video. Stefan, I know you have communicated with the folks of Queen Cutlery. I was wondering when you may have some Queen knife reviews and Tuna Valley and Great Eastern/Northfield/Tidioute. I will have to look a little closer in your library to see if you already have any for these companies. Keep up the great work Stefan. I speak for many when I say we appreciate your videos & look forward to many more.
ОтветитьYes, there are reviews on GEC knives. no Tuna Valley though.
ОтветитьYes, I realized that only after I posted the comment. And I already watched them just a little bit ago. GOOD STUFF Stefan!!!
ОтветитьTime for you to review the other Case knives my friend. I've enjoyed all of your reviews and look very much forward to more. Thanks
ОтветитьExcellent and thorough review and a fascinating bit of history. I had no idea that Ike was a "knife nut". I wish I could find one of these but in 2017 they are no longer in production and I'm sure if I could find one it would be expensive.
Ответитьwow,Stefan, perhaps one of the most informative pocket-knife videos I have seen yet,the little propaganda film was also precious, but that particular pattern is still,to this day,one of my favorites...thanks!
ОтветитьMy wife's Grandfather has one of the knives from Ike. He was a MP in the Army, and stood guard for him when he was in the hospital.
ОтветитьExcellent Review......The Case Eisenhower pattern is quite the elegant, simplistic design........!!!!
ОтветитьAn Excellent, Informative review of the Legendary Case Eisenhower Knife..... The video clips about President Eisenhower sets the historical stage and background for the importance of Ike's gifting of the Case 63 pattern knife....!!!
ОтветитьThese are great But now I really want an Eisenhower
ОтветитьI actually have a small knife like this with signature on blade case xx pocket knife
