I discovered this dude a few weeks ago and man this dude was able to stay lyrical and deliver a emotional story from beginning to end. Hardly any rappers can do something like that
ОтветитьMurika land of the cowards!
ОтветитьHearing the second part, I thought this guy sounds like Special Forces (Green Beret) and I was correct: he is 10th group SF
De Oppresso Liber

ОтветитьRIP Grandpa. Hubert Harper, combat veteran, Dong Ha 1968. He never spoke of the war & when I asked, he said some things are just better left in the past ~~

RA paints the fucking picture I can't help but get emotional and get goosebumps EVERY fucking time
ОтветитьOne of the greatest songs ever written. And RA may delivered the greatest verse ever in Hip Hop.
ОтветитьMy Dad was in the Korean war and he told me that agent orange was also used in that war. Why don't they ever mention that? He was Soo sick every day. I never knew my dad as a healthy man. He had high blood pressure, hardened arteries to which he had numerous open heart surgeries, and lost on of his legs, he pissed blood regularly, the hypertension was off the charts, he had angina, yellowing of his eyes, night sweats, and the flashbacks were terrifying for the whole family. I would sleep in him and my mom's bed because I was afraid of the dark. But sometimes I was scarier in their room. Sometimes I would wake up in mid air just before I hit the floor, hard. I could hear my dad in the pitch blackness going for his rifle. He would tell me to stay down on the floor and to close my eyes and cover my ears. There was an intruder in our back yard. An you know something.,...there really was!!! Crank monsters would be in our back yard trying to get in his shop to steal his expensive tools, paints and paint guns. He was a body and fender man most of his life after the war but after he became so sick he had to sell his business. One could have said he was crazy but we knew better. How did h hear temin there? As sick as he was. He was still a sharp aim and they say Marines sleep with one eye open. I never saw one open but sometimes both. Ever had to go outside in the dark in the country in just your night gown to open some shop doors while your dad covered you with his rifle? Once after I turned 12 I did. I trusted my dad and today he's no longer with us but I'm still very proud of him. At the height of 5'5 he wasn't a big man but I never saw him back down from anyone or anything. I just wish we could have had more time. I miss him so much. He will always be my hero.❤❤❤❤ God bless our men and women who served our country and please take extra special care and watch over the ones who still suffer today. In Jesus name Amen❤❤❤❤ thank you for posting this. There is so much I'll never know that went through my dad's mind. You have given us a little more clear view of what was really going on over there and a little more understanding of what some may have felt ❤
