Start Oblivion's DLCs at the RIGHT LEVEL for MAX Rewards

Knights of the Nine is perfect for doing a "good" playthrough, which I'm doing with a Paladin build. Going to play a chaotic murder thief next.

For me, the main thing is to make sure I do Finger of the Mountain around level 5, because that's the only way the spell is usable for me.

I have to say that the Crimson Evicerator from the Deepscorn Hollow DLC is my favorite dagger for a sneaky, short blade character. Other than the Razor, of course.

Deepscorn hallow has a better version of the brotherhood armor that scales with you every time you go back to the hallow, after you've upgraded the bedroom

I always start with the Thieves Guild for easy money (usually have about 40k by the end because I take and sell everything, stolen or not, also they let you kill anyone toward the end without repercussions which helps you get into DB without losing fame), then I become a White Stallion Knight for the lodge, then I do Knights of the Nine, then Dark Brotherhood for Shadowmere.

I just hit lvl 28. Only 2 more levels and I can start doing everything I want.

Good video but you won't catch me playing without a mod that levels up your gear as you level. I didn't pay 50€ to grind levels before I can feel OK doing the fun content

With the morag tong armor, I actually prefer the leather look - don't mind it too much... and that detect life, and resist magic/normal weapons is nothing to sneeze at. Gonna be my go-to for one of my characters in every run, considering I have 'Auto Upgrade Leveled Items'. B)

P.S.: You also forgot to mention the Spellturn Robes and Bladeturn Hood from Mehrunes' Razor's DLC. At max leve, they can be pretty strong for unarmored characters.

I wish creators would stop spreading this bs myth that you automatically increase your character level by just playing the game. There are multiple videos saying not to power level skills because you'll level your character quicker than you intend to. Especially don't level up past your combat skills by leveling security or acrobatics, or other non-combat skills. This is all crap.

You can power level every skill to 100 if you want to, and still be character level 1, because your character level only goes up when you sleep. You only sleep when you choose to do so, and when you do you only advance one level at a time. I did Kvatch at level 1, and had 1 master skill, a couple of experts, and a bunch of journeyman skills. My character is currently 10, but I have enough skill levels that I'd easily be in the mid 20s, I think, if I wanted to be. So, level those skills as much as you want.

I was level 21 when I finally finished the Pilgrimage for Knights of the Nine. I'm level 23 and was about to head over to wipe out Umaril. I may level up 2 more and head out. Thanks!

Shivering Isle has always been my favorite DLC. I'm around lvl 20 because I try not to sleep so I will going after it soon.

I remember in my OG playthrough, Dawnfang/Duskfang was such a lifesaver. It was my only weapon, dawn fang broke but I just hand to hold out until night and I would have a new sword to use until morning.

Literally only subscribed because of the front loading of info.

The thing about Oblivion and Skyrim is while they are big games, there is only a finite amount of interesting questlines. So leveling up and item collection to me is more of a question of what quest lines am I planning on doing and what abilities do I want when I do them? Because yeah you can wait till level 30 to do everything, but you still have to play the game from level 1-30. If I'm not doing the main fun quests for 30 levels, what am I doing with my time? just random dungeons?

Everyone's idea of fun can differ. Personally I focus on getting a set of kit and abilities that is strong for the level I'm at when I do a particular story. Like if I'm doing thieves guild I might level sneak and marksmen to 100 and grab the best armour and bow I can get at the time and then go start the first quest.

Nothing worse than getting end game kit and having nothing interesting to do with it.

My biggest problem with the system is that by the time you can get the best version of any item you’re already pretty broken, and the enchantments you can make yourself are often better.

I kind of like delaying the knights of the nine stuff because climbing up the armour ladder is kind of fun and once you get the knights armour it kind of ends that journey, at least until you're ready to enchant better stuff.

Dont get the razer early one of the guys you fight has a some of the best cloth armor in the game that is lvl dependent. His red hood is very powerful and probably the best hood in the game. Also the Morag tong assassin has some really good light armor especially the chest piece.

So far i have leveled 1356 skills still level 1 atm held off doin any quests so far

I recommend using the Auto Upgrade Leveled Items mod. It will automatically upgrade your leveled items as you reach the level for the next highest tier. It's essential for me because this way I don't have to worry at all about getting the items I want to use later and can instead enjoy them throughout the game and don't worry about doing things at a certain level.

One thing I don't like about Oblivion is how much heavier the higher tier items are. I get it for "balance" reasons but it doesn't really make sense that high tier "light armor" weighs a lot more than low tier heavy armor. Even if they were three times lighter I would still drag my overencumbered butt through the wastes of Oblivion after a loot run 😂

I'll say the item scaling is one of the things I really hate in Oblivion, I'd be fine with a set low level Debaser as a reward for a quest I can do right out of the sewers, but having it scale means I'm punished for doing so, and my character is just plodding around killing rats and bandits then going back for Debaser at max level. Maybe if they leveled with you or the game had some kind of "arcane recalibration" station that you can burn soul gems to raise the level of those items.

Favorite thing about dawnfang duskfang is it self recharges.
On top of having a lot of charges to begin with, whenever it changes form it tops it's charges off.

Great timing, i think i'll be bored if i take my main quest/stealth guilds character into the Dlc's. I'm gonna do arena/fighters/knights of nine on one guy and mages/shivering isles on another ❤

Me watching this 5 Min. before getting "Ruin's Edge" on level 2 on Master difficulty. My day is ruined.

I went at level 25, 80 hour character and it crashed literally every time. I googled and seen I wasn’t the only one with this issue. Started a new character and when I went there it worked flawlessly. Even better performance as well. Super frustrating lol
