Pala warns MLAs not to fall prey to NPP's empty promises

Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPPC) chief, Vincent Pala, on Friday appealed to Congress MLAs to not fall prey to poaching attempts by the National People's Party (NPP).

The veteran politician said leaders defecting the Congress disgrace the party’s image as the BJP and the NPP are desperately trying to destroy the Congress.

He said by trading the MLAs with them, the ruling party is trying to break the party ahead of the Gambegre bypolls and MDC elections.

Warning the MLAs of stern action, Pala said that Congress will not spare anyone defecting to another party, and proper action will be initiated against them.
