This is my favorite song by them
ОтветитьThank you, Gents! I LOVE that he pays homage to The Beach Boys with the line "... Northern California, where the girls are warm...." - straight out of California Girls!
ОтветитьWhat McDonalds is to food
ОтветитьGood choice guys
ОтветитьPretty average song including very average chorus. I’d give this an A- at most.
ОтветитьSame Album, another great song you need hit, it's a must. Mercury Blues please! You won't be sorry.
ОтветитьThe riff is similar/an homage to All Right Now by Free.
ОтветитьMy Dark Hour has our boy Paulie on drums! Absolute BANGER
ОтветитьThey don’t even know about wild mountain honey.
ОтветитьThis always reminded me of the Beatles' "Back in the USSR". Fair enough, he was hanging with Paul McCartney in the late sixties.
ОтветитьThe intro is reminiscent of Alright now by Free.
Another classic.
I prefer my Nodding … Shaken….. not Stirred.
ОтветитьTop three concert I’ve ever seen.
ОтветитьCheck out ‘The Stake’ and ‘Space Cowboy’ … Bangers!! You won’t be disappointed I promise!!!
ОтветитьYou really ought to react to "Used to Be Bad" by Paul McCartney and Steve Miller. Fell in love with that song the first time I heard it!
ОтветитьI went to a Steve Miller concert 8 years ago. In the second half, he started with a set where he explained all of the inspirations for these songs. His influences were so cool to hear. These licks were directly inspired by some pretty obscure old time musicians.
ОтветитьHey guys, you should check out the main squeeze cover of Have a Cigar,. I honestly think it’s better than Pink Floyd’s version. The guitar solo is really nasty. I think you guys would love it.❤
ОтветитьI can never get over the weird bass drum echo in this song. Sounds offbeat.
ОтветитьI would love to see you guys react to Huey Lewis and The News. Tons of great songs like Heart of Rock and Roll, Do You Believe In Love or Power of Love
ОтветитьNever got it. Just run of the mill garage rock.
ОтветитьSteve was taught guitar by Les Paul…I find that incredibly amazing and that’s why his songs were so good! Think he’s retired now like 80 years old 😳
ОтветитьAll right now? Free!!!
Ответить"Living in the USA" is the only decent song he ever did.
ОтветитьSaw him a few years ago with Peter Frampton in Houston. It was
Fantastic!!
One of my favourite albums ❤
ОтветитьSaw them in concert last summer at Fenway Park in Boston along with Def Leppard and Journey 😊🤘🏼 Nice show
ОтветитьReally like the intro and verses, but the chorus is a joke.
ОтветитьAww man this one grooved Andy so hard! Almost looked like you had a couple of studio fans blowing back your hair you were bumpin’ so much. Easy A+, but I agree with your breakdown and final compared to their other hits. Love ya buddy! You too Alex! 😀 Always ready to touch base again with Gabriel/Collins/Genesis, Petty, AC/DC, Aerosmith, INXS, Heart, Pat Benatar, Bangles, Paul Simon/Simon & Garfunkel, Countng Crows, Toad the Wet Sprocket, yada yada yada…
ОтветитьSteve Miller is the intro blueprint of really good 70s rock music.
ОтветитьOne of my favorites by him is "The Window."
ОтветитьSteve Millet is Les Paul's God son...
ОтветитьLads it sounds way better on vinyl, but hey we can't all be that lucky
ОтветитьSaw Steve Miller Band open for The Eagles Hotel California tour. Awesome
ОтветитьSteve Miller is the ultimate driving music.
ОтветитьSteve Miller is one of my favorite bands!😊🔥
ОтветитьAndy nailed it.. the greatest hits album is perfect road trip or summer album
ОтветитьSo glad you got to this one ❤
ОтветитьI graduated in '98, and we were bumpin SMB loud af at all our parties! When they came to CLT in '99, we had small crews from all over the Piedmont raging together in the lawn! Still 1 of my Top5 shows all time! G.Thorogood opened too! 'Wild Mountain Honey' next please! 🤙🏽
ОтветитьSorry guys, Beavis and Butthead is popping in my head!! Regardless, love the reactions and knowing legendary music when you hear it!! Steve Miller Band was the Sh'T back in the day..... all of their songs.....
ОтветитьTheres alot of great music courtesy of this great band!
ОтветитьHave you reacted to 'Take the money & run'? It's a banger
ОтветитьThe Steve Miller Band are one of those bands that are incredibly better live than their records. Their stage performance was way entertaining.
ОтветитьIt's actually "Rockin' Me" to be exact but they spell it like "Rock & Me".
ОтветитьOne of his top six biggest hits: "The Joker", "Take The Money And Run", "Fly Like An Eagle", "Jet Airliner", "Abracadabra", et al.
ОтветитьHe hit big in the 70's but he had some great stuff at the end of the 60's. Check out space cowboy, your saving grace, and seasons, to mention a few
ОтветитьTooling around the back roads of northern Arizona in 2000, on a long weekend trip wirh my dad and brother, and this song blasting, along with the Eagles' "Take It Easy", which always felt like its twin brother. Such awesome memories!
You should also review "Take It Easy" and maybe compare the two!
I saw Steve Miller Band in the late 80's and he got so mad at the audience because everyone would stand and dance and enjoy all the oldie songs but not the new songs. He had a fit on stage, otherwise it was a great show haha Jungle Love, Big Ole Jet Airliner, Abracadabra,Fly Like an Eagle, Take the Money and Run, The Joker also great tunes!
ОтветитьTotally different, equally as awesome is his country twang song on this album..."Dance, Dance, Dance!"
