To build a boat in a bottle you make the hull of the boat first then you make the masks and the rigging and the sail outside of the bottle with any details you want to include. The Masks are made to fold down. The sails and the Riggins are made to fold into the masts. While everything is into a small package it can be inserted into the bottle. Putty is used to look like water and hold the ship in place. There are strings attached to the masts which are used to raise them to the upright position. Long thin rods are used to make adjustments and move everything into the right place. When all is in place the strings that were used to raise the masks are cut

If it could have new rafters and a roof, given time, the interior could be salvaged. What a shame. Thank you for making this record. For giving this grand old place a recognition beyond its life.
I wonder if was more recently used for photo shoots by clothing companies or magazines? The clothes rack in the hall off the main hallway seemed very cheap, modern and out of place. Like it was a left behind by a film crew?

I find it so very sad that back in the day the people that left these places didn't place enough value on these beautiful homes to make an effort to save them! They don't build them like this any more, there aren't even people that know these crafts any more. Heartbreaking

Another great episode. Unbelievable beauty, and intriguing story.
One thing I'd like to ask of you Les, could you please, please, stop wearing black everything for ever video. I enjoyed when you would vary your wardrobe with jeans and shorts. All black makes you look just worn out. Love you and Danny tho, great work you both do.

These places are now relics of a long bygone era that no longer exists anymore because the generation that once built and inhabited them are long dead not to mention Aristocracy and Nobility no longer have any relevance in a Capitalist society.

I adore you both & with the kindest intention, please, please stop pointing any gun at your friend & pulling the trigger... Old guns can still have a round of some kind still lodged in them. Even if it's a "toy"gun, you will "do what you practice" please don't do that anymore. With love 💜

In the room that looks like a doctors office there seems to be a print of artist Gustav Klimpt's Tree of life. The painting is a study for a series of three mosaics created by Klimt for a 1905-1911 commissioned work at the Stoclet Palace in Brussels, Belgium.

I think the beautiful room with the red benches along the perimeter and the piano, is a room for dancing. Women with large dresses could sit on the red benches while they were not dancing.

The red room was definitely a ball for dancing, parties etc. The mirror with the face and the lion is a Sphinx and I can't believe how much color still left in the murals on the ceiling. It's unbelievable and beautiful. Thank you so much for the explorations
