ОтветитьThere are amazing people in many disciplines nowadays, but I think 70's put out the most creative and talented individuals. Access to information is great but we are flooded with so much that is harder to focus, be dedicated and commit to stuff like people did used to do.
ОтветитьNew Kids on the block

ОтветитьLol im only one out of place old school skating here😂 i get looks from everyone like they never seen the tricks before, since you cant find these original boards anymore, i just buy kryptonics Torpedos, remove the trucks and put on rollerskate trucks for that older feel ride 👍
ОтветитьIm so glad skateboarding evolved. Those are some really cornball looking tricks 😂
ОтветитьI bought my first skateboard, at Safeway drugstore, for $11.00, back in the 70s. I still have it.
ОтветитьNo, the best clips with Stacy Peralta are the earliest ones, when he rode the banks with style, and still had long straight hair. When skateboarding was purely a complement to surfing. Before it became an ambitious and self-conscious sport.
ОтветитьI came here after seen lords of dogtown
ОтветитьThat looks like the pipe at Skatopia in Buena Park. Boy does that bring back memories. I was just a kid but I remember trying to get up as high as I could going down that run. Much harder than you'd think. Sadly, Skatopia was demolished long ago. Thanks for the memories! One day word got around he would be showing up to a big backyard plywood 1/2 pipe somewhere in Norwalk or Downey. My friend and I somehow made our way there and watched the Dogtown crew rip it. I was nowhere near good enough to give it a try. lol.
