When I change my
oil at 5000 miles.I also clean my map sensor.
And it's fifty thousand miles I installed a new one. Never had any problems.

I highly recommend not using brake cleaner or that pick. Brake cleaner can damage the sensor and so can the pick. Just get map sensor cleaner or any kind of electrical grade cleaner to clean it. The pressure from the can itself will be enough to clean that sensor.

But this is good advice, I did not know how bad that sensor could get clogged up until I pulled mine. I sprayed it off and the truck ran great. Shortly after I got the block plate for it so it won’t get clogged again. $30 part but well worth it. It will essentially pull that sensor up out of the way so you won’t have build up.

Just cleaned mine and going for drive. 🤞
